THE ANATOMY OF IBE

There’s so much that goes into a great hair extension install. The way that hair is sectioned, secured, stitched, and finished is what creates an installation that feels comfortable, looks seamless, and moves naturally with your own hair.

Here’s a closer look at the anatomy of an IBE installation:

01 | HIDDEN BEADS
The foundation of the patented Invisible Bead Extension® method. The beads are strategically placed and completely hidden within the installation, creating a seamless result without exposed beads or bulky connections.

02 | CLEAN SECTIONS
Precision starts with the sectioning. Clean, intentional sections help distribute the weight of the extensions properly while creating a comfortable, seamless installation that lays beautifully against the head.

03 | PRECISE STITCHING
Wefts are carefully stitched into place to create a secure, discreet connection.

04 | IBE MICROWEFTS
The hair itself matters. IBE Microwefts are made with gorgeous human hair available in straight, wavy, and curly textures, with proper care and maintenance allowing the hair to last 9+ months.

05 | FLAT CORNERS
Small details make a big difference. The flat corners of the wefts are designed for comfort and help create a smooth, low-profile installation—making IBE especially ponytail-friendly.

This guest came to us with fine, thin hair and a stubborn cowlick in the crown that split her hair in the back, leaving her with very little volume and an extremely visible scalp in that area.

Instead of putting extensions where they didn’t belong—or using a full topper when she didn’t necessarily need one—we looked at the problem area and built a solution specifically for her.

We used a mini Microline in the crown to provide seamless coverage and volume exactly where she needed it most. And just like that, her cowlick and flat, exposed crown were no longer an issue.

Then, we added one row of IBE to give her a little extra density and length through the ends.

The result? A completely customized solution that addressed her specific concerns without overcomplicating the process. 🤍

This is why we believe hair loss and fine-hair solutions shouldn’t be one-size-fits-all. Sometimes the best answer is a combination of techniques, thoughtfully placed exactly where they’re needed.

THE ANATOMY OF A MICROLINE

A Microline may look simple at first glance, but every part of the system has a purpose. From the shape of the base to the way your natural hair is integrated, the details are what make a Microline feel so natural, secure, and personalized.

Here’s a closer look at the anatomy of a Microline:

01 | FRONT
The front is where the Microline meets your natural hairline. This area features the smallest matrix openings, helping create a natural-looking transition between the Microline and your own hair.

02 | PERIMETER
The perimeter is the structure that encompasses the Microline matrix. It’s also where the bonding ring is threaded through, creating the foundation for securing the Microline to your natural hair.

03 | CENTER LINE
The center line runs through the middle of the Microline and serves as a placement guide. We use it to help ensure the Microline is properly centered for balanced, symmetrical placement.

04 | BONDING RING
The bonding ring is a crystal polymer ring used to connect your natural hair to the Microline. Your natural hair is wrapped around the ring and fused to it, creating a secure connection between your hair and the Microline.

05 | MATRIX
The matrix is the open netting that makes up the base of the Microline. Its breathable design allows your natural hair to integrate through the base, helping create a more natural look and feel while also contributing to the Microline’s security during wear.

06 | ID TAG
The ID tag is your Microline’s unique identifier and helps verify that your system is authentic. The number on the ID tag corresponds with the number on your warranty tag. This number is required whenever your Microline is sent in for refreshes or repairs.

Every component has a job and together, they create a customized hair solution designed to integrate beautifully with your own hair.
