Allowing pets to drink standing water runs the risk of them contracting 🪱 parasites such as Giardia, 🦠️ bacteria such as Leptospirosis, or ingesting water contaminated with Blue Green Algae. ⚠️ If your pet ingests as little as one or two mouthfuls of blue-green algae-infested water, it can be fatal to your pet. Signs that your dog has been poisoned can show up within minutes, and you might see vomiting, diarrhea, staggering, weakness, and pale gums. Immediate veterinary intervention is needed!

Bottom line: If you wouldn't swim in the water, you probably shouldn't let your pet either.
