I literally have no freaking words! I shocked myself with this one!

I typically don’t take in color corrections because they give me anxiety literally. But since this beauty wanted a richer tone I knew it wasn’t going to be a project!

Redken ALK made this transformation so easy!
I applied 5N+4NB to her roots about 4in down
6Nb 6N to her mids and ends.

Because this isn’t my usual service I noticed when I was blowdrying there was a band of lightness where her hair was lighter. Welp I wasn’t having that so I went back in with shade eq 6Nb for 10 mins and it evened out the color perfectly!

FAQs I get as a hairstylist

Top question- should I wash my hair before my appointment? Yes. It always best to come with clean, dry hair. Whether you are getting a haircut or color. Color works more efficiently on clean hair. For haircuts it’s always great to see hair in your everyday wear to decide if a cut is right for you!

2. Can I bring extra guests or kids?
Unfortunately no. To ensure you receive the best experience extra guests and kids aren’t allowed. As a mom I get it’s hard enough to take care of yourself but salons are not safe places for children (hot tools, sharp object, chemicals etc.) the shortest appt I offer is an hour and its too long to ask kids of any age to sit that long.

3. What products do I really need? In my opinion- shampoo+conditioner+heat protectant (if you don’t heat style your hair then a leave in conditioner) that’s it! These are necessary the rest is preference.

Goodbye August!

August was FULL of so many changes. To say it was one of the most emotional months I’ve had in a long time with be an understatement.

There were many times this month I was just going through the motions and surviving each day.

I’m grateful and blessed for the patience of my husband and children who gave me grace while I navigated my feelings and thoughts.

And for my friends who supported me but wouldn’t let me sit in the depression for long.

I share this because you see smiles and laughter what you don’t know is behind all of these amazing moments was someone who was breaking and fighting to put themselves back together. Mental health will always be something I share about because even if you’re in a room full of people cheering you on and supporting you it can feel extremely lonely. If you’re struggling know my messages are always open whether you’re a friend, client, or stranger.

September I choose me, I choose growth, and I choose to look forward.
