Spring is in the air!!!! I’ll be offering extended hours next week Tuesday, 10 March thru Sunday, 15 March. “Be like a sunflower—turn toward the light, keep growing, and reach higher every day.”

We're still looking good for 15 May 2020 based on Governor Northam's press conference today. In addition to the safety protocols I outlined in my previous posting, all salons must reduce staffing to 50% and maintain strict social distancing. I think I'd prefer take my chances one-on-one, with only two people (stylist/client) in the studio at any given time. It's all about risk and probability, and I believe my little hair studio provides a safe alternative to the larger salons with higher foot traffic. Your health and safety remains my highest priority. TG Hair FX Studio May Reopen 15 May 2020!!!

Finally--50 days after Governor Northam issued his executive order banning "non-essential" businesses such as hair salons, barber shops, spas, and bowling alleys, it looks like we “may” be granted a reprieve to provide services to our fabulous clients. I've received a deluge of calls asking when the studio would re-open, and I sincerely appreciate your support and understanding during this unprecedented period. While there's still a threat of Coronavirus and no vaccine available, we must all endeavor to take every precaution to protect our local community.
Those of you who have scheduled hair appointments may keep your scheduled hair appointments. Those who have missed appointments will be given priority for all available openings. I may need to make minor modifications to our schedule in order to limit the number of clients physically inside the studio at any given time. That said, I will open up additional days (Mon, Tue) to accommodate any backlog. I will personally reach out to those who have missed appointments to discuss your hair care needs.
Pending additional guidance from the Governor’s office, below are the new normal guidelines for conducting services at TG Hair FX. Fortunately, as a sole proprietor and operator, I can offer a much safer customer experience by limiting exposure to no more than one or two clients at any given time for social distancing. We can tailor your visit based on your personal preferences and our collective safety in mind. Please read and acknowledge our safety guidelines prior to your scheduled appointment.

Customer Service Guidelines:

Do Not enter studio if you have a fever, cough, have been exposed to someone with COVID-19 within last 14 days, or been in contact with someone who has been exposed to someone with COVID-19 (e.g., travel to high-risk areas on commercial airlines).

Do wear an ear loop cloth mask, or n95 mask with ear loops.

Do have your temperature scanned when you arrive (clients with temperature above 100.4 will be asked to reschedule).

Do wash your hands for at least 20 seconds upon arrival.

Do Not touch your face and please refrain from touching common areas (wash hands-rinse-repeat).

Do maintain social distancing inside studio (keep 6' of separation to maximum extent possible).

Your stylist Shall wear mask, gloves, and face-shield as appropriate.

Your stylist Shall sanitize work surfaces and stations between clients.

Your stylist Shall place all used smocks and towels in laundry immediately, and clean all color trays, bowls, etc immediately.

Do place any cash payment in ziplock bags, and allow your stylist to make all credit card machine entries.
