My heart is still so full! This weekend was momentous and one of the most fulfilling moments of my entire career! I was blessed with the opportunity to present a live natural hair demo at the VIRGINIA BLACK EXPO where thousands of attendees, hundreds of vendors and many celebrity guests gathered to celebrate black excellence in business.

For my small business to be amongst so many heavy hitters is a moment and don’t take lightly . Every single opportunity, connection, networking event, and handshake was a chance to expand my business and share my gift with someone new. Transitioning from behind the chair to an educational platform is something I’ve silently prayed about and slowly waited for the right time to pursue . It’s so crazy how when we feel in adequate God has a way of showing us how valuable and adequate we truly are.

This special moment was preparation meeting opportunity, and your girl was truly ready for the job. Talking about health and hair care is so easy for me, but you never truly know how you’re gonna be received especially by strangers. This weekend, even with butterflies in my belly, I delivered and I mean, I gave it my all.

For almost 120 minutes I poured out everything I give to my clients on a regular which is my passion , real education , a professional technique and my raw goofy personality that genuinely just wants to help people achieve their hair goals ! The overwhelmingly positive feedback has filled my heart with so much gratitude that I’m still taking it all in 🥹

- Even in this heat the right install can be great for summer! Trying color with your weave is also a healthier, easier and less stressful way to test if a color matches your skin or if the tone is just right!

- Quick weaves still have longevity, can be shampooed and reused when booking with a stylist that cares for your natural hair as well as your extensions!

- For this install we used 3 new bundles and one and half of her old colored bundles from two prior installations. We didn’t have time to color the new hair so we went with a bold color placement of the old hair to accent some brightness near her bang and face area!

She LOVED the outcome and this color is a perfect summer transition into pre fall hair !
