Week 8 of cosmetology school 💄

This week was one I’ve been looking forward to for a long time—we finally started formal styling ✨🤍

We learned and practiced different updo techniques, including chignons, ponytail styles, low buns, high buns, and French twists 💇🏻‍♀️✨ We also incorporated braids into our formal styles and continued building our hairstyling skills.

One exciting accomplishment this week was qualifying for the 90/90 program and earning some Rizzieri Bucks 🤍✨

We practiced circle wraps, worked on different braiding techniques, and challenged ourselves to get creative with our updo designs. My favorite updo we learned this week was the chignon 💄🤍

Another week full of learning, creativity, and growth ✨
I’m so excited to continue improving these skills and one day add formal styling to my service menu 💇🏻‍♀️🤍

Also, a little heads up—Ella Bella Diaries will be coming to you from a new location for the next few weeks because I’ll be spending the next 3 weeks in Guatemala 🇬🇹🤍✨

Week 6 of cosmetology school 💄

This week we continued working on pin curls and learned the different techniques, including on-base, half-base, and off-base placements ✨ We also practiced finger waves and worked on our state board hairstyling skills 🤍💇🏻‍♀️

One of my favorite moments this week was getting my hair cut by my cosmetology instructor ✂️🤍

We also celebrated two of our classmates’ birthdays this week 🎉🎂🤍

Another week full of learning, practice, and growth 💄✨
I’m excited to keep building my skills and seeing my progress each week 🤍

Week 5 of cosmetology school 💄

This week we were introduced to roller sets ✨
We practiced standard roller sets, magnetic rollers, and velcro rollers on Deb while continuing to improve our blow drying techniques 🤍💇🏻‍♀️

We also worked on comb outs and backcombing to help build volume and shape ✨

Week 4 of cosmetology school 💄

This week was focused more on theory and learning the foundations behind everything we do ✨
We worked on anatomy, looked at our scalps under a microscope 🔬, practiced scalp treatments and massage techniques 💆🏻‍♀️🤍, and learned how to properly drape capes ✨

My classmate also diffused my hair for the first time 💄✨
