Today was extremely hard for me as a loctician and a professional. I’ve lost clients before but this one hit different 😪

Back in 2023 I met one of the most beautiful people inside and out that an individual could ever come across. Mercedes walked in smiling ear to ear ready to begin her loc journey with me. From that day forward we were locked in 🤞🏽 over the past two years we have shared laughs, stories, and good times. In the end, when Mercedes learned of her cancer diagnosis, we listened to gospel music, prayed together, and got closer than just loctician/client.

Unfortunately Friday May 9th Mercedes lost her battle to cancer after a long, hard, and courageous fight! Her homegoing service today was beautiful. I cried, I laughed but most importantly I remembered that Mercedes is no longer in pain and she is resting now 🕊️ I could go on about the type of person she was a beautiful little dimmed way too soon 😞

It’s more than hair clients are FAMILY too I am so hurt by this! You will truly be missed Mercedes rest in eternal peace 😓🙏🏽

HAPPY YEAR ANNIVERSARY TO MY BABY 🥳🍾💙

A year ago today I took my first client in my new location and it honestly felt surreal. I had so many doubts, the main one being how could I do this on my own! But with GOD nothing will fail and now all I can think is where has the time gone! I look up and see how much progress I’ve made from then to now. I am truly blessed to be on this journey and thanking God every step of the way. 5 years in business, 1 year on my own!
