I want to take a moment to share something a little personal… and something I’m incredibly proud of.

Over the past year, I’ve been quietly working on my memoir, A Phoenix Rising Journey. It’s a story about loss, illness, resilience, and learning how to keep going when life looks nothing like you expected.

This is the second edition… and it feels like the book it was always meant to be.

I updated the cover and added a new story—one that means a great deal to me. It’s about crawling through a cave in the dark, wearing a helmet and a headlamp… doing something that absolutely terrified me. I did it because my son believed I could.

At the time, I thought I was just giving him a moment of adventure after everything we’d been through.
I didn’t realize I was also learning something deeper—about fear, trust, and the quiet strength it takes to show up for our kids even when our own footing feels uncertain.

This book isn’t about having all the answers.
It’s about learning to move forward anyway.

Because sometimes healing doesn’t look like therapy or big breakthroughs.
Sometimes it looks like saying yes… and stepping into the dark anyway.
