The Finster⏱️

Findlay first came to see me last October. Back then, we could hardly get through a full haircut. The whole experience was overwhelming for him.

With every visit, I took the time to truly get to know him. A major breakthrough came when I introduced my timer, letting him pick the increments so he felt in control and could see exactly when his next break was.

Recently, Findlay had his first fully independent haircut! He wore the cape, sat in the chair by himself, used our timer, and was calm and happy the whole way through. It was such a big moment, it brought tears to both his grandpa and me. ❤️

A little bit of patience, trust, and time goes such a long way. Build your tiny clients up from the start. Meet them where they are. Be patient. Learn what works for them.

Be someone you needed when you were their age and you’ll be amazed at what grows from it. 🌱

Just a cute throwback photo that I saw a client post recently when recommending me, I had never seen it before. This was when I first opened CC and thought it captured a sweet moment❤️

Little Avianna came in for her first haircut. While I’ve had the honor of doing many first haircuts over the years, this one hugged my heart especially tight. As I was putting her keepsake package together, her mom asked, “Can we please have an extra lock of baby hair to give to her biological mom too?” Without hesitation, I put together a second keepsake. No questions. Just love.

It was just a quiet reminder that love doesn’t have to be loud to be powerful—and that there is always room for kindness. ❤️
