At our community business meeting this week we had a fun question:

“What is your business’s theme song?” 🎶

My first answers were Time in a Bottle and Unstoppable by Sia.

But later I realized something interesting… those songs were really about me, not the heart of my business.

So I sat with the question a little longer.

If my work had a theme song, it should reflect what I hope people experience when they walk through my door — a little more harmony, a little less stress, and leaving feeling lighter than when they came in.

Two songs keep coming to mind:

☀️ Here Comes the Sun — The Beatles
🌊 Bridge Over Troubled Water — Simon & Garfunkel

One feels like hope returning after a long winter.
The other feels like someone helping you through a heavy moment.

So now I’m curious…

Either way, if you’ve ever walked out of my office feeling a little lighter, maybe that’s the real theme song. ☀️. Picture of him enjoying the sun.

Entry: Cookies for One

So here I sat.
All alone.

Cookies bought.
Tea made.
Workshop prepared.

And no one showed up.

Hmmm.

As I munched on a cookie—purely for morale, obviously—it felt like a good moment for self-reflection. Or at least honest chewing.

Maybe it’s because last week only one person came to my open house.
Although, to be fair, the three of us waiting for that one had a very nice time.
Still… perhaps that explains why I felt a little alone today.

But there I was.
Holding space.
Munching another cookie.
Thinking.

And here’s the thing: I’m ready for March 7th.

Because when people do show up, this is a good workshop. Lives actually change. I’ve seen it. I trust it. Even on days when the chairs stay empty and the cookies don’t.

So maybe today was important in a different way.
Maybe today was meant to be quiet.
Maybe today was for me.

Either way, the clinic is ready for a week of healing.
And I’m still here.
With cookies.
