the btc awards show is tonight 🖤 i unfortunately couldn’t make it this year, and i’m definitely a little sad to be missing it.

but more than anything, i’m just incredibly grateful to be able to say that i made the top 100 in the one shot hair awards this year.

it’s only my second year entering and i’m just six years into my career behind the chair, so having my work recognized alongside so many insanely talented artists still feels a little surreal.

i think sometimes it’s easy to get so caught up in what’s next, getting better, learning more, pushing yourself further, that you forget to look back at how far you’ve already come. this feels like one of those moments where i want to let myself stop and be proud of what i’ve built.

a huge thank you to my educators at Mood Salon. you helped me find the confidence in my work that i needed to even put myself out there and apply in the first place. i wouldn’t be the stylist i am today without the people who have poured their knowledge, encouragement, and belief into me.

and thank you to every client who has trusted me with their hair, sat in my chair, let me create, and given me the opportunity to keep growing my craft.
