This one hit a little differently for me. 💛

Her dad has been a close friend of mine since we were kids, and through him I’ve been lucky enough to build a friendship with her mom too. They both stood by Michael and me on our wedding day, so being there for their family in this moment meant more than I can put into words.

Their beautiful, incredibly brave daughter is currently on her fourth round of chemo. As many know, hair loss is one of the hardest parts of that journey—especially for a 15-year-old girl. She made the courageous decision to take control and shave her head.

We started by giving her a bob—something she wanted to see on herself first. Sometimes it’s the little steps that make the biggest difference. My goal was simply to make this moment feel a little softer, a little more in her control.

We were also able to get her fitted with a wig and customize it to her liking—making sure she still felt like herself every step of the way. 🤍

There were tears, yes—but even more love, strength, and encouragement from the sweetest group of friends and family surrounding her. Moments like this remind me why I do what I do. It’s so much more than hair.

Praying for continued strength, healing, and light for this amazing girl. 💜💜💜

This is a full circle moment for me. Me and her momma have been friends since we were in middle school. I actually did her mommas hair for prom while we were in high school. Needless to say my friends always knew I would be the hairdresser of the group. I also got to do her hair for her wedding. Now I get to do her daughter’s hair for her prom. 🩷🩷🩷
