Color corrections can be both frustrating and magical at the same time. This one was made possible by K18 and color theory. I like to tell people that it takes about 3 sessions for your hair to essentially become “my hair”. These things are rarely done in one day. Luckily my sweet client is very understanding and patient. This was our second session and our first round of lightener together. The first session I had to spend the appointment doing color removers. Full transparency.. it’s still not perfect. But I had to be so very careful with her hair after everything it’s been through. If you know me then you know I will quit doing hair before I destroy yours. 😂

When I was 20 years old I was fired from the first salon I ever worked at. A place I dreamed would be my forever home. I quit doing hair for a few years after that. I really thought I never wanted to step foot into another salon again. I kept being called back to doing hair as much as I tried so hard to be bitter about it. I worked for a really lovely woman who showed me kindness after that at another salon until I later on found my home with Shelly almost 9 years ago. I have always done things in life at my own pace, on my own terms. And I just needed a safe space with love to do that in. 🖤

If you would have told me at 20 years old packing up my things that I would artistically be where I’m at today.. that THIS would be my work… I would’ve called you crazy. Thank you so much to every person along the way who believed in me. There’s a lot of you.
