The Virgo Colorist

This is the magic that happens when you trust the process, trust your stylist, do your proper at home care and have some patience. 💫✨💫

My sweet girl had black hair color at the beginning of the year. I can’t take all the credit.. two rounds of color remover and highlights had been done when she came to me.. which was super helpful. The first photo is after our first session together at the end of March. The second is yesterday after our third session. (I will post some other photos in the comments of the true before and stuff in between these two sessions.)

We are so happy with this. It was such a long road but this is what needs to happen to keep the hair on your head happy and healthy. There is no point in the transformation if you are going to damage the hair in the process by rushing.

I was a bit stressed a few times but she was so patient with me. What a difference that makes in how we as stylists feel as well. Thank you so much for trusting me with literally your life. 🩷

This is going to be a long one so buckle up.

Monday was absolutely incredible. We had a small class and it ended up being all day. 🤘🏻 Samantha who taught the class amazing. It was so inspiring watching her paint in ways I haven’t tried yet. Watching her true artistry flow in person was an honor and I loved getting to know her. She gave me some great advice on building in a small community and that she wants to meet up again someday. 💫

I am still in shock that I met one of my biggest inspirations/ idols .. Stephanie. I have followed her for years. To paint hair next to her in her studio space was truly surreal. I actually got a little emotional. Typical Chelcie right? 🤣 seeing her follow and like my stuff on instagram is absolutely WILD. She told me my work is so good and I just don’t think I’ll ever get over that. Lmao

I’m so envious of the community down south in Columbus/Dayton/Cincinnati. The vivid community down there is insane. The amount of talent, art and inspiration is something I crave desperately to be around more. I adored every single human that was there. We all followed each other on instagram and made connections that I hope we keep. Of course I made friends with the two EDM girlies who do hair at music festivals.✌🏻 Seeing some of them repost/share to their stories my own work is indescribable. These are top notch artists who are followed by the brands. What an freakin’ honor. ✨🩷✨

It’s been a very long time since I’ve sat in a room and felt like it was exactly where I belonged. Honestly going to these classes has also reminded me that I do actually know what I’m doing. We did a technique on one of the models that I was the only one who had done it before. Which is such a cool feeling right? We took some fun videos/photos together along with the models so I’ll post those later once they get posted. ☺️

I think the biggest thing I took away from this experience is the fire that was lit under my ass. I have so many ideas and things that I want to bring to Wooster.

I desperately want to collab with some local artists on a model and do photo shoots. I do NOT specialize in extensions or haircutting but I would be in heaven working with artists who do. Especially with spooky season coming. I want to do some badass s**t with y’all. If you are a stylist and would be interested in this please message me or tag your hairstylist if you think they would have fun doing something like this. 🎨
