Shout out to this amazing team of doctors, nurses, and techs who delivered a baby in the University trauma bay today! Nice job, Brendan, for quickly recognizing the patient was in labor and ready to deliver! Brendan Healy is one of our interns, who had completed his OB rotation a few months ago. Baby and mom are both healthy and doing well!

Dr. Kevan Mamdouhi and Dr. Meme Tran volunteering with the Worcester Refugee Assistance Project (WRAP) to perform COVID testing in the Afghan refugee community.

This past weekend, Dr. Kevan Mamdouhi volunteered with the Worcester Refugee Assistance Project to provide Covid testing services to Afghan refugees awaiting resettlement in Worcester.

Dr. Monique Arvisais-Anhalt, PGY-2, teaches residents how to tie chest tubes during teaching rounds today with the residents in the trauma bay. Teaching rounds occur at 6:45AM every morning before 7AM sign-out and it gives a chance for seniors to teach about different topics.

We had a great time at our residency retreat today at the Warren Conference Center, where we performed a SWOT analysis of our program, had small group discussions among each class, enjoyed lunch and some sports outside. The residents are grateful for the protected time reserved for residency bonding. A huge thank you to our program director, Dr. Church, and APDs, Dr. Patel and Dr. Nordberg, and coordinator, Jeannine, for making this happen.
