📣 My PSA - Use the pretty things, people! 💗

One thing as a soapmaker I hear sometimes from potential customers at a market is "the soap is too pretty and I end up just keeping it on a shelf".

Why???

Here's a reminder to enjoy the things that are meant to be used🪷

When I'm dragging in the morning, looking at a pretty bar of soap in the shower brings a smile to my face. I've also been known to stand there sniffing it and being transported to wherever the scent takes me💭

Start your day off right - put a little luxury in your everyday routine. Trust me, you'll thank me later 😉

Shoutout to all the husbands of small businesses owned by women, including mine! 👏👏

Small business owners wear many "hats" and do so many things - make and develop products, design labels, design and manage a website, update inventory, order supplies, find events, fill out applications and paperwork, post on social media, prepare tax information, and so on and so forth, but we do it because we choose to and are passionate about our products and our businesses.

But these guys didn't choose this. They only chose us, years ago 😆 And now they are "forced" to be unpaid helpers, in these endeavors.

This big hat is very fitting - Gary is a logistical mastermind when it comes to setting up and tearing down any event we do. He deserves the appreciation and the recognition. 🙌

THE CUT🔪This is the part I look forward to the most.

Waiting to cut a loaf of soap is the hardest. Not knowing what the inside will look like fills me with
EXCITEMENT
FEAR
APPREHENSION
NERVES
GIDDINESS.
Because I never really know if the vision in my head is how it comes out. There's no way to get a sneak peek. I just have to pour, wait, and trust the process.

And here's a secret 🤫 When it comes out exactly how I've planned, I feel like I've won the lottery. Which means, it doesn't happen all that often 😅 Majority of the time, it's not exactly like how I've pictured but still turns out beautiful from an outside perspective.

So here's to changing your perspective so you always see the beautiful when life hands you something a little different. 🥂💚

One of the best parts of making your own creations is being able to try different designs, scents, and ingredients, and make it all come together.

I wanted this one to exemplify all things SPRING 🌺 - simple, floral and pretty. This has notes of magnolia, blackberries, apple, melon and sugar crystals. A perfect blend to take us from spring to summer without being too overpowering in any category. Using the impression mat with a floral design was the perfect pick to highlight this scent.
