Attention Everyone 📣: Let’s talk no shows and missed appointments. Now, let me preface this with yes, emergencies happen and we are human, there’s a rare occurrence that we forget an appointment. However, let’s be real, when you make an appointment to have your hair done, you know when it’s happening. We all count down the days to a fresh color, am I right?!

My booking system for example sends you a text as soon as the appointment is made so you can add to your calendar and also 2 days in advance sends you a text message to confirm your appointment. I was no showed yesterday for a $175 1.5 hour service and today for a $500 4 hour service. That is now $700 I am losing for the week along with now time I cannot fill in short notice.

I know a lot of people out there just think our jobs are “fun”. That we hang out all day and it’s not big deal when they just don’t show up. When they just don’t show up they take from us our pay for that time they scheduled strictly for themselves and rob us of the opportunity to schedule a client that will be in our chair and pay for their time scheduled.

So please, if you’re not going to make it to your appointment and need to reschedule or cancel all together, let your stylist know in a timely fashion. We understand things happen and we are respectful of those instances for you, please be respectful of our time and money as well. How would you feel if you showed up to work and your boss said “Oh by the way, you’re not getting paid today and we aren’t giving you any opportunity to make up your pay you won’t be receiving.” That would suck right? 😐

Moving forward, for any appointments not cancelled within 24 hours (ex: you if your appointment is scheduled for 9am on Friday, you must cancel before 9am on Thursday. Anything after is past 24 hours notice.) If this cancellation window is not met, there with be a 50% cancellation fee required for the total of missed service.
