Important Announcement from Christina

It has taken me some time to calm my heart before being able to write these words. What happened was deeply shocking to me, and today I want to share honestly with our beloved clients and officially announce that Dash and Ami have resigned in a way that felt very hurtful — just a few days before I am due to give birth.

Everyone has their own side of the story, and it is easy to tell a version that benefits oneself. I can only share what truly happened from my perspective. None of us are perfect. I am human — not a saint. There were moments when I became upset and raised my voice while working or teaching. Especially during pregnancy, there were days I felt overwhelmed. But after those moments, we continued working together, celebrating holidays, sharing laughter, and building memories as a team. I never imagined that those moments created silent resentment.

While I was preparing to begin my maternity leave this week and getting ready to welcome my baby next week, I received shocking news that they were leaving immediately without notice. I truly believe this decision was planned for months, waiting for the most vulnerable time — right before my delivery — to step away. This was especially painful because I trusted them and encouraged many clients to continue supporting and booking with them.

It hurts deeply to think about the early days when they first arrived in the United States during the slow season, when finding work was difficult. We welcomed them into Luminous Nails, trained them, supported them, shared housing at below-market cost, paid their wages, and treated them like family. Tony especially treated them like brothers and sisters and often gave bonuses when business was good. Despite that, it seems that moments of correction or discipline — especially when I was emotionally affected by pregnancy — became something they held onto in silence.

I am truly heartbroken and shocked.

But in the middle of this storm, I am incredibly grateful for Tony. He has stood beside me every moment, lifting my spirit and reminding me that what does not break us makes us stronger. We will fight for this business because I truly love what I do.

However, I cannot do this alone.

Luminous Nails exists because of you — our loyal, loving clients. I will continue working until the day I go to the hospital to deliver my baby, and I promise to return as soon as I am physically able to serve you again. Your support means everything to us during this challenging time.

We kindly ask for your patience as we navigate this temporary staff shortage. Please continue booking appointments through our app. We remain fully committed to honoring all appointments and providing the best service possible.
