Getting a seamless blend starts with the little things.

First, make sure those ends are healthy. If they need to be clipped, clip them. Trying to blend dry or damaged ends into a smooth style will only make your job harder.

Next, use the right products. I like smoothing products to help control the hair and a light hairspray for hold without making the leave-out stiff or heavy.

And most importantly, work in small sections. It gives you more control and allows you to smooth and blend every piece instead of trying to tackle too much hair at once.

Healthy ends, the right products, and a little patience can make all the difference in your blend.

A great sew-in starts way before the braid down.

Conditioning with steam, adding moisture back into the hair, using heat protection, detangling properly, and taking the time to get a smooth blow dry all play a part in the final result.

The prep matters just as much as the install. I want the sew-in to look good, but I also want to know the natural hair underneath was properly cared for before it was tucked away.
