I wanted to share a tool I created. A customizable template haircut countdown calendar. The I AM BRAVE Haircut Countdown Calendar helps you prepare for the BIG HAIRCUT DAY! Its an interactive, inclusive option, that helps build a healthy routine around the 'getting a haircut' process.

This will be readily available to any families who would like to utilize it! If you have questions on how to use it, please do not hesitate!

The only favor I ask, is you tell me if:
1. It helps you
2. What could be added or changed
3. If it is easy enough to use for you, print out, & laminate a copy! I want it to be multifunctional, and easy to use, for all!

🧩 Heart Update from Me 💛

Hey everyone! Miss Alyse, here! It’s been a journey since I stepped away from the salon this spring. After having another baby and taking some much-needed time to rest and reflect, I realized that FriendlyFacez never truly left my heart.

The messages from families didn’t stop. The stories of kids needing a safe, comfortable haircut experience kept coming. That feeling that more needed to be done, that never went away.

So, I’ve been quietly working on something new: the FriendlyFacez Brave Kit. This isn’t about reopening the salon. Instead, it’s about transforming that mission into something that can help even more children and families. Think of it as a toolkit full of resources, tips, and support to make haircuts less scary for kids and easier for stylists and parents. I’m so excited to share this new chapter with you all — it’s the same heart, just a new way of bringing it to life. Thank you for sticking with me. This is just the beginning — again. 💜

BUT, I also NEED your HELP! Please feel free to comment, message, what you think would help your kid in the FriendlyFacez BraveKit! I want to make it inclusive, widely accessible, and geared to help, not only the kiddos, but stylist & caregivers too!

I hope to keep being the resource for the community, in the best way I can, with the season I’m in!

Hello Friends!

Miss Alyse here! Yes, I’m fine, not good, but fine!

I first want to extend my deepest gratitude, and appreciation to this community, to my kids! I do not think that FriendlyFacez would be anything without you! When I started this journey in 2022 I was nervous, and driven! I knew what this community needed, and I know (at the time) I could work to provide it! Myself and Shane, along with some great mentors, and professionals made the salon suite happen! Big thanks to Color Whipped Hair Studios and Lauren, and Jamie for welcoming us with open arms and amazing support! My debt to you will never be payable!

Fast forward to why I’m posting here, and reminiscing! We’ve made the very difficult decision to temporarily suspend services for our local kiddos. It’s a hard reality for me, but as a wonderful friend told me “delayed, NOT denied”!

Miss Alyse, and her FriendlyFacez will be back, once her babies don’t need her! ♥️

Just know how much I love each and everyone of you! I hope I was as much help and support, as you all have been for me these last few years! I truly would have been nothing without you all!

✨Life Update✨

I’ve been incognito lately, and I cannot begin to tell you how sorry I am! Life has just not been lifein’ the way I’ve expected! We’ve had quite a few unexpected things happen over the last several months! I wanted to share one, finally with you all!

I want to say how much I appreciate all your support, and understanding though this crazy year, while I navigate FriendlyFacez, a 10 month old, 6 year old, another pregnancy & life in general!

I’ve been trying to work on creating a new process for the kiddos, and one you all can take with you to other salons so that you do not have to wait for me, as long as you all have been!

Even with the unexpected I am so amazingly grateful, and I hope you all continue to understand I’m always doing all I can to continue to provide this resource, the best I possibly can!

Good morning Friends!

Temporarily Not Accepting New Kiddos! 🥺

I am so amazingly grateful for the out pouring of support and trust for what I do for the kiddos! It really is the greatest feeling to know I can be a resource for families and children in my community the way I am! But, with that being said— I am still incredibly overwhelmed and behind with appointments and booking. So, temporarily, I will no longer be accepting new clients at this time, until I can catch up. I have so much I still want to do for the kiddos, and I cannot successfully bring these things to fruition if I continue to take on more kiddos.

I’m hoping this is extremely temporary, and if you’ve messaged me before today I will be still servicing everyone, but from today May 2nd, 2024 until further notice I am not accepting new kiddos!

I apologize for any inconvenience but, to continue to keep the quality and experience at the level I want it to be, this is the only solution!

Such a busy year already! I want to hop on and tell everyone to tune into 21 WFMJ at 6, we’re going to be featured for Autism Awareness Month! 😆
