The last few months have been… a lot.
Between building a new salon, getting ready to leave for my birthday and our 10th anniversary trip tomorrow, and trying to keep a million moving pieces together, my brain has been running on about 47 tabs at all times. This morning I walked in balancing two Starbucks drinks, my lunch, a water bottle, my purse, and probably a little bit of my sanity too. 😂
Then I was surprised with an ice cream cake, birthday shirts my husband made for everyone, and our trusty birthday banner that somehow makes an appearance every single year.
To the team that chose to be part of today, thank you. You reminded me that even in the middle of all the stress, the people around you matter most. I may have a million things on my mind lately, but one thing I never forget is the people who show up, support me, and make this place what it is.
Thank you for making me feel celebrated, appreciated, and loved. I couldn’t ask for a better group to share this crazy journey with. ❤️ Now it’s time to (hopefully) turn my brain off for a few days and celebrate another trip around the sun and 10 amazing years with my husband.

Yesterday wasn’t just about installing the last piece of flooring.
It was about raising a little girl who isn’t afraid to work hard, get her hands dirty, learn something new, and believe she can do anything she sets her mind to.
My mom raised me to be strong, independent, and to never be afraid to figure things out. Today I got to pass a little of that on to Joie.
Before we installed the very last plank in my office, we flipped it over and wrote our names on the back. No one will ever see them, but we’ll always know they’re there.
While we were working, she looked at me and said, “One day I’m going to run the salon.”
Maybe one day she’ll be sitting behind my desk, running this place, and she’ll look down at that floor knowing that underneath her feet is the piece we installed together. I hope it reminds her where it all started, how capable she is, and just how much I believe in her. ❤️
