Today I had a wonderful first day out of orientation! ❤️ Oh, and to catch you up on what has been going on in the mean time: RN to BSN here I come! 🤟⚜️🌶

First day of orientation as a RN went great! I still can't believe that I finally get to wear these royal blue scrubs. 💕

Today, I finally walked across the stage, marking one of the final steps from nursing student to registered nurse. 🍾🩺🎓

I am grateful for the magnetic people I met along the way and for everyone who stood by me during my challenging nursing school journey.🩷

Celebrating our LAST DAY at SLCC ever!!🍾🩺🎓

Tomorrow we take our LAST final. Next up: pinning, graduation, then NCLEX! I am overwhelmed with joy, relief, but also some saddness that this era of my life is coming to an end. I couldn't have made it this far without the wonderful support system that I was blessed by God to have. It may be small, but it is mighty.

Thank you first and foremost to my husband, Thad, who stood by my side and picked up the slack when all I could focus on was my studies. You comforted me through the tears and cheered for all my wins. I am one lucky girl to have such a wonderful man help take care of me, our children, and keep our household running while I was in school. Its your turn babe!😉

Thank you to Sarah for always being a light in my life and continually pointing me back to our savior, whom got us through this journey.

Thank you to my sister Ashley for always being my biggest cheerleader and an ear when I needed to vent.

Thank you Kim & Toni for always believing in me when I was younger and setting a foundation for my faith. It was a wonderful foundation I am so blessed to build on.

Thank you to my daddy, Tim Cossey, without him I wouldn't be who I am. I felt your presence watching over me throughout the whole program. You were my protector on Earth and now gaurdian angel in heaven.

To my grandmother, Gabby, Thank you for being a matriarch for our family and helping to pave the way for many generations. Papa, though you are not with us any more, you were sure to set up all your children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren for success. You showed us what it meant to be philatropists, entrepreneurs, and dream chasers.

Thank you Gaylin and Yohana for you presence throughout this journey. Your compassionate and loving nature's will make you wonderful nurses.

To the rest of my cohort... WOW it has been a whirlwind. I am overjoyed to be walking across that stage with you all. I cannot wait to see all the wonderful places you guys will go.

Last but not least, to all those who cheered me on and prayed for me throughout this journey, whether spoken or silent, I appreciate you more than you know it❤️
