This one gets me a little sentimental.

For 22 years, back-to-school time at Shaggy’s Hair Salon & Barber has meant busy chairs, nervous little ones, excited kids showing off their new cuts, and parents saying, “Just make sure it looks good for the first day!” 😂

But here’s the part that’s hard to believe…

Some of those little 5- and 6-year-olds who sat in our chairs 20+ years ago are all grown up now — and they’re walking through our doors with their OWN little ones for a back-to-school haircut.

Think about that.

We’ve watched kids become teenagers… teenagers become adults… and adults become moms and dads. And now we get the privilege of cutting their children’s hair.

That’s what being a family salon means to us.

It’s not just haircuts. It’s watching families grow. It’s remembering when Dad needed a booster seat and now he’s putting his little boy in one. It’s realizing that somewhere along the way, clients became friends and friends became part of the Shaggy’s family.

After 22 years, we’re still right here in Yukon — cutting hair, laughing, telling stories and getting another generation ready for their first day of school.
