It’s more than just a hair appointment. At 19 just starting out in a a new salon. I had a lady sit in my chair for a haircut, my last one of the day, she was running late and was frazzled, I kept reassuring her this was no problem at all. As I begin to ask about her day, she began to unload what she was facing. As my mind began to race on what to stay, I quietly felt the Holy Spirit tell me, not everything needs a response, just listen and do her hair.

I realized then, putting that cape on, and doing hair created this safe space for women to open up and share what’s on their heart. It’s always more than just a hair appointment.
