I’m telling you, one ☝️ thing selling makeup (Younique) on social media did to me was ruin my love for social platforms and what they stand for. The level of connection with fellow humans, or maybe in my old age I’m becoming more and more like an awkward 😕 rocker/introvert⁉️⁉️

Nonetheless, say it with me class, if you have permanent color in your hair, another color won’t lift that away! It doesn’t fade off 😂 or disappear nor does it just as some have said “slide off?” Chemically. Logically. Scientifically. It’s just not happening.

Now there is some color ( very. Few. ) lines that have the ability to swoop in like the little devil 😈 they are and lift AND deposit but they are few, far in between and we are talking 1 maybe 2 levels. Not 6! Colors do have a home base on the color wheel and level finder! So those gals that love a fresh copper/red moment those devilish, mind-blowing tubes of witchery are for you doll! Because guess where copper and red live…. Eek 😱 at level 5 through 6! Not 10 where the blonde gals hang!

So say it loud and proud 🗣️to be blonde, or bright, light or white lightner is the ways of the land princess 👸

To say I’m ADHD would be the kindest thing anyone has ever said! Just kidding, I’m awesome 😎, but the transition period between permanent color and blonde can either make you or break you. It’s vital you understand some of our lingo/terminology🤍

I’m grateful for those clients that understand and remember finger painting 🖼️ class all those years ago at the tender age of 3! I’m especially appreciative of those clients that also acknowledge that I am the ONE that went to cosmetology school, I’m the ONE that’s spent thousands on continued education throughout this wonderful 23 year long journey of my career. So therefore those few find clarity and weight in my recommendations and also value in when I say NO!

This client is not only one of my BFF’s 👯, but she has sat in my chair so many times y’all! Countless times! Shes been every color! She’s been with me through every walk of life and me the same with hers! We actually reminisced yesterday at her appointment about how well and grown up her oldest daughter is ( only 19, FAA job, brand new car, very nice apartment and tattoos that make me jealous) and how I remember her cute little bottle cap glasses when she was so small! I’ve practically watched half my clientele grow up either by coming in with their mamas or the mamas themselves now coming in pregnant 🤰 or recently became mamas for the first time.

It’s made me recognize how full circle life in general has become for me. I mean the girls that work at our supply store are practically all baby chicks about to graduate cosmo school or waiting to exam out. Now I’m the 23 year veteran that’s being asked all the questions❓When did this happen?

As some of you know, and what this post was mostly about until I got into my feelings, I have a very severe hip injury. If you’ve been with me for any length of time you already know about my fun Roulette game that I guess Oklahomas orthopedic doctors like to play with me! This has resulted in a prolonged treatment plan which in turn has resulted in severe pain and almost the inability to walk.

However, I will say if you need a color, extensions or anything I would suggest getting on my books before May. I’m pushing to wait on surgery until the first week of June. I still have to pay for everything while I’m off and I want to make sure Kennedy finishes out her year, I get us past both granddaughters birthdays which are July 7th and June 16th and honestly June is where salons kinda slow down a bit. I am looking for an office position to tide me over and to get me back out of the salon full time again but I’ve been looking for 2 years with no luck. I truly believe that is God himself telling me there is a reason for that. I’m meant behind the chair. Or doing education. I’m also working on my own hair oil that is making my old brain feel even older. I’ve also had my youngest daughter come back to us as well which has been amazing!

So, three 3️⃣ cheers for breaking barriers here. I know what’s in Sarah’s hair! It’s had copper, blues, pinks, reds, permanent, semi-permanent and everything else in between! A couple months ago I started boycotting permanent hair color ALL together because I saw a trend that most clients would flip back and forth and then wonder why they were seeing a pattern of thinning, and damaged hair. Once again, this goes back to the basics. We no longer have clean air, clean water, truly clean products. Therefore, every little thing we do to our bodies that are out of that basic anatomy is risking the natural balance. It’s becoming harder for toners to stay. Harder to lighten previously darkened hair. Hormonal imbalances are hitting our youth a lot younger. Lots of variables are playing a role in every part of our lives now! This is why I DO NOT jack up prices on products! You need a professional shampoo? Conditioning mask? Hairspray? I’m gonna let you shop in the magical 🧙 hairstylist store with me! I don’t need to earn a commission for a product line if it means my clients/friends have the best at home care results possible!

I have VERY limited spots available. Like I said I meet with the new surgeon 🧑‍⚕️ Tuesday and I’m terrified because I know I have to have a physical exam and I’m at almost ZERO 0️⃣ range of motion. I can’t rotate my foot outward, inward and my hamstring is also impinged so my Achilles is also locked up. So it will be a painful appointment I’m sure and I will finally have a better understanding of how severe the actual damage is beyond how gracious my lovely client Lindsay was by explaining a vast majority of it since she works within the sports orthopedic industry! I’m excited, scared, relieved it’s finally here and hoping you will pray 🙏 for me that this can be just arthroscopic repairs and I’m back in 6 weeks!

Well I’m simply wanting to share some love ❤️ so with that being said….there is a limited amount of spots available for this special! Once they are gone they are GONE!!!!

So what this would be is either a simple face framing foil of 6 foils on either side of the face (money piece outline) or I’m willing to do a Mohawk section. 🤘😉

This will be the 12 foils MAX 😬, toner if needed, and blow dry! If you want an added root smudge and haircut 💇‍♀️ it’s $150!

So in the 🆕 year of 2026 I made myself a promise to find value in my own worth! We are all about self love ❤️ over here! I’ve spent 23 years behind this chair and in this industry. I will no longer question my value based off what other stylists charge.

Last year ALONE (because I know the year before was way WORSE) I lost over $13,000 in no show and cancellation fees! That is wild 🤪 to think about!

That’s a used car 🚘
That’s a chunk for a down payment on a 🏡
That’s the cost of a small tiny house 🏠

So many things could have been done ✅ but I’m a sucker for 🖤 emotions and I’m easily made to feel guilty. However, I am now separating my guilty complex from the salon 💇‍♀️!

🤍I require a 72 hour notice for any cancellation. Period. - I understand things happen. Please understand I’m not the Grinch and I do have a heart ❤️. So please tell me what’s the deal pickle and if we can find a solution we will!
🤍 ALL NO SHOWS will receive a 100% charge for services booked!!!! This isn’t negotiable!
🤍Cancelling with less than 24 hours will result in a charge of 75% of services booked.
🤍Cancelling with less than 48 hours will result in a charge of 50% of services booked.

With my discretion I can alter these charges to be either $50, $75 or $100 but this is simply up to me.

If you have ONE ☝️ no show you will no longer be allowed to schedule without paying for your appointment in FULL in advance prior to booking. Your next 3-6 appointments will look like this.

I would also like to remind 🗣️everyone that once you schedule your appointment any changes that need to be made should be made as soon as possible. I schedule🕒 my day around the time needed for each client. So changes to services booked will need to be arranged a week prior to your scheduled appointment.

ALL 💇‍♀️ hair extension clients!!!! If you are constantly moving your scheduled upkeep appointments I will charge an inconvenience fee. Hand-tied, butterfly wefts and tape in extensions are meant to be moved up every 4-6 weeks if you want to prevent damage. As the professional stylist that has spent thousands 💰 on continuing my education it’s my job on how to aide you in prolonging your investment! I mean stick with me and I can show you how to wear hair for 12-18 months!

I’m beyond grateful for all my clients! I have very little trouble with my long time clients, however there is still some of the OG’s that still struggle with understanding I am a service provider. This is my job. It is how I support my family. I don’t get paid if they don’t show up to their appointments!

I get that this is ALOT! But this is on my booking website, and has been posted many times both on my pro page and personal page and I still get the “I had no idea 🤷‍♀️ there was a fee for that?”

EVERYBODY has cancellation and no show fees now! Doctors offices, dentist offices, lash artists, nail artists and eye doctors. This is to alleviate the dead zones in their already busy schedule!

It’s just respectful.

I haven’t posted in a LONG time 🕰️ I’ve developed a newfound disdain for social media. The constant back and forth, hatred towards each other due to political 🇺🇸 differences, and overwhelming negativity can be detrimental to one’s well-being.

As stylists, 💇‍♀️ we already absorb trauma from our clients, who share their struggles with us during our time together. This is something we willfully take on and vice versa for my amazing clients! So it’s exhausting sometimes to also go into social media 📱 and marketing as soon as your done working!
Especially when I’ve just found out I have some tears in my left hip 😭

With that being said I had the pleasure of meeting a wonderful brand new client today! I strive to get clients in my chair that I can bond with. Align with on several different levels so the conversations never stop! 🛑

Today we changed it ALL up! 🆙 We added two rows of butterfly 🦋 in 20 inches in the color“Buttercream frosting” 🧁
This color is breathtaking ❤️‍🔥 Whitney had pulled her hair through a cap the last time and there was several spots we needed to correct!

We did a full highlight, a light root smudge, then a full toner gloss to really cancel out all the unwanted yellow and gold! It turned out flawless!
