So I’ve got a pretty talented young lady 👧 in my family (my oldest nephews girlfriend) that makes these unbelievable banners!

I’m about to have one made for “OkieGal’s Hair” in general, but I also need a smaller one listing my special days! Ya know🫶

So I’m wanting to implement special days for specific services! This is solely for the days that I don’t fully book or have little or even bigger increments of time from cancellations 🙄 or holes in my schedule!

I can’t very well drive home in between clients lol 😂

So I’m thinking things like
“Walk-in Wednesdays” or “Total Transformation Tuesdays”

So give me your ideas 💡
I want to pick your brains!

And I mean why not possibly look at starting a program of styling client’s hair prior to work ⁉️

I know mind blown 🤯 right. I would be rich 🤑 if I had a dollar for every time a client asked me if I could style their hair everyday before work!! I’m just trying to figure out what that would look like!

This is what we call a fire 🔥 in our industry. A method. Color formula or line up that is beyond amazing. It’s something that catches our creative eye and “lights” that 🔥 all over again! This!!!! She did it 👇🏻

I normally wouldn’t do this. Truly.
But this is becoming the new normal here lately⁉️ I did try to block out this young ladies information for her privacy, and I won’t be taking her as a client.

I don’t understand it either. You would think that folks would be grateful ☺️ that I’m asking so many questions 🤷‍♀️ but I guess it’s an inconvenience or I’m just expected to use my magic 🪄 wand and whip this information out of thin air?

I don’t ask these questions 🙋‍♀️ for my health. It’s for the safety and protection of your hair! I know a lot of stylist don’t. Especially your younger ones. I’m NOT saying they lack education either, since that is also an issue, the game of twisting words and narratives to fit people’s story!

Nonetheless this stuff matters! If your hair was blonde roots to ends just a few short months ago and your last stylist just through a color over it on July 1️⃣0️⃣th for example, and you come in and I highlight your hair, the chances of me completely trashing your hair just went up ⬆️ 50%‼️

And how do you NOT know what’s been done???? Come on! I’m not asking for a formula. My 👀 can tell me that. But what I am asking is have you spoke with your previous stylist about permanent, semi-permanent or demi-permanent? Did she use a lightner?

Another example, I hope this gorgeous gal doesn’t get mad 😠 but I’m not mentioning names! However, healthy hair! She gets normal trims! Takes care of it! Is only utilizing deposit only color, I’ve only ever noticed her using extensions for brighter accent colors so no lightening. She puts a perm on as a professional and luckily 🍀 checks it half way through the process time and her hair is literally melting! No rhyme. No reason!
Seriously! 😳 no answer standing out with a big red bow telling us professionals what could have caused it! She thinks she knows what lead to that result but you never know.

So when stylist or a professional ask you questions it’s usually something that is important!

Listen, without disclosing too much, this client has been a ride or die for so many years that I believe we’ve both lost count!

With the help of Bold Hair Co. we installed this whoppin 260 grams of straight, frizz free 18 inches of pure brunette goddess mermaid 🧜‍♀️ hair!

This particular client, has had many struggles over the past few years. Medical things. Hair loss. Just all around the kind of things that make us women freak out‼️

After my own self doubt I told her I needed her to see a dermatologist to ensure although I’m certified in multiple methods with multiple companies I above all else believe in integrity and transparency 🫶 so after a long road of finding physicians 👩‍⚕️ that truly cared my long haired beauty friend here FINALLY had answers! Long awaited answers!

I’m happy to announce, her hair is 💯 % on the mend ❤️‍🩹 and GROWING!!! Both its density and length. After a two session color correction (removing no joke 20+ years of black hair color) we are finally in a great, gorgeous spot for the health to continue!

🩵This was all done with some Demi-permanent color, a little bit of toner, 260 grams of Bold Hair Co. in 4 different colors and ✝️Jesus himself!

Plus a few beads, needles 🪡 and thread and good conversation!
