Beginning Friday, January 30th, the City of Yuma will fully close the intersection of West 32nd Street and the South 4th Avenue Extension for approximately five to eight days while crews repair a sinkhole. Officials say the timeline is an estimate and repairs could extend beyond eight days.

Motorists are urged to plan ahead, expect delays, and use alternate routes. Detours will be in place using 8th Avenue, Avenue A, West 40th Street, and South Arizona Avenue.

During the closure, there will be zero tolerance for traffic violations, and police will be on scene 24 hours a day to protect construction crews and public safety.
