There’s been a lot of debate online over salon prices and services in today’s economy. I feel it’s important to educate a little on the topic because there’s two different perspectives to see it from. The stylists view vs. the customer.

It’s not a secret that the economy has shifted and everything is more expensive than it has been before. While we don’t always want to pass down increases to our clients that’s the way of the world.

When buying professional quality products to serve your clients best it can easily cost you $100 for one bottle of shampoo and that’s just one of the many products you need. I say all this to say give people a little grace who are running a small business. The money we make and what we pocket at the end of the day isn’t the same.

Everyone out there offering beauty services are not trying to get over on you. We are simply trying to stay in business like the next person. It’s okay if you have to find someone who fits your budget because there is someone for everyone out there.

I love when clients send me inspiration photos of how they want their hair! As a stylist creativity keeps you on your toes and enjoying what you do. The same old, same old styles get boring after a while. Don’t be afraid to try something new 🙂
