The amount of product on the skin in this photo is unbelievable.

Not one finger. Not one small mistake. Multiple fingers covered in product far beyond the nail plate.

At what point did the nail industry decide this was acceptable?

We spend all this time talking about allergies, reactions, and safety, yet Brands, influencers and educators continue treating skin contact like it doesn’t matter. Summer even so stupid to say you don’t need gloves.

The goal is to get product on the nail.
Not all over the surrounding skin. The normalization of this kind of application is one of the reasons our industry has a problem and it’s a big one and growing.

At some point we need to stop pretending this is okay. At some point nail tech need to start speaking up to help protect younger nail tech coming into the industry!

The ONLY reason to buy a nail lamp is because it has been scientifically tested with the specific products you are using. A universal lamp has not been tested with every product, let alone every brand in every color. Wake up.
