Today, my heart is heavy as I say goodbye to one of my dearest friends and a client ❤️. I’m thankful I got to see her yesterday at the hospital as she passed early this morning 😪.

I got to know her first as someone that lived close by to the salon and We developed a friendship of just talking almost nightly when I would leave the salon. She then later became a client. One of the kindest, genuine, giving, and truly just a good person that I’ve ever known.

Over the years, we shared so much more than hair appointments. We shared stories, laughter, life’s ups and downs, and so many special moments. It’s one of the greatest gifts of being a hairstylist — the relationships we build with the people who sit in our chair.

One of the things I respected most about her was her incredible work ethic. She was one of the hardest-working people I knew. She never expected anything to simply be handed to her, and she worked hard for everything she had.

But what stood out even more was her heart. She would truly give you the shirt off her back, even when she didn’t have much herself. She had a generosity and kindness that came from somewhere much deeper than what she had — it came from who she was.

I’m so grateful that our paths crossed and that I had the privilege of knowing her, caring for her, and being a small part of her life. She reminded me that sometimes the people who have the least are the ones who give the most.

I will miss her dearly, but I’ll always cherish the memories, the conversations, the laughter, and the friendship we shared.

Rest peacefully, sweet friend. You were one of a kind, and you will be missed more than words can say.
