The Board of Direction against COVID-19 of Vung Tau city has issued out an official dispatch for the People's Committee of all wards and communes to comprise a list of foreigners who haven't received the 1st and 2nd shot of COVID-19 vaccine before 4PM of November 2nd.
Have you got your vaccine shot? If not, try reaching out to the People's Committee of your ward via your landlord or a local friend!

Social distancing following Directive 16 in Bà Rịa Vũng Tàu province is extended until 25th August for 7 towns, villages and cities on land. Côn Đảo island will implement Directive 15.

Continue implementing social distancing following Directive 16 from 16-25/8 for 7 towns, villages and cities BRVT province continue implementing Directive 16 amid the complication of COVID-19 pandemic in the region.

Looks like these vaccines are happening! Are you registered? I have heard you not only need to register with your "group", i.e. building, work etc., but also need to be on the national list. Below is the link and the link the US Embassy's English instructions. If you haven't please do so. If you're not going to, none of us care what you think., so please ignore this post.

Also, If you are a US citizen who feels they have not been given equal access as Vietnamese citizens, please report to the embassy. According to Democrats Abroad, they want to hear from you. The agreement that we are treated equally (not better) is a key agreement in the vaccine donation.

EXTENSION OF DIRECTIVE 16 IN BA RIA VUNG TAU PROVINCE
As the spread of the virus hasn't been contained, our Prime Minister directed 18 Southern Vietnam provinces, including BRVT Province to continue social distancing for another 2 weeks (2-15/8).
Citizens are not allowed to leave their current residential city/province starting July 31st.
Meanwhile, Long Điền district - the extremely-high-risk area in our province - has started implementing a curfew from 6 PM to 6 AM of the following day throughout the district to further decrease the spread of the virus. This is the only region in our province to implement this policy now.

BRVT Province continues social distancing for another 14 days (2/8- the end of 15/8) Social distancing in BRVT province continues along with 17 other Southern Vietnamese provinces amid the continual complication of COVID-19's 4th wave in Vietnam

"PERMIT TO GO OUT" IS CANCELLED TO BETTER CONTROL THE NUMBER OF CITIZENS GOING OUT DURING SOCIAL DISTANCING
After 1 day of testing the "Permit to go out", the People's Committee of Vũng Tàu city decided to cancel the permits to better control the number of people going out during the social distancing. Alternatives have been proposed and I will update everyone with an updated list of websites for online ordering later.
On a brighter note, Vũng Tàu city is running a city-wide COVID-19 test to filter out COVID-19 cases within the community. The city also has published a vaccination plan for everyone in the city throughout July and August, which I am translating for everyone. And HCM city is observing a decrease in community cases after 1 week of the latest social distancing order.

IMPLEMENTING DIRECTIVE 16 THROUGHOUT VUNG TAU CITY
Did you know that on the 12th July, Vung Tau city had a record number of 26 new cases, many of them were found in the community.

By 9:37 AM this morning 13/07/2021, the city has had 45 positive cases. Check out the updated map from BRVT Province's Ministry of Health here: https://vtu-covidmap.cosoyte.com/
As a result, the city will start implementing a Stay-At-Home order following Directive 16 to stop the spread of the virus. Highlights are in this post:

But that does not mean that you should start panic buying. The city has comprised a list of all businesses that sell necessities with online ordering and delivery services that you can use to keep your household afloat during this social distancing. Oh and one last-minute news, there has been an official dispatch no. 7490 from the People's Committee of Ba Ria city to withdraw the official dispatch no. 7475 of 13/07/2021. That was NOT the dispatch for the social distancing following Directive 16 that will implement from midnight tonight, but for the 14-days home quarantine for people from Vung Tau city to Ba Ria city and vice versa. If there are further updates, we will let you know.
