The Samoa Business Hub – SBH, formerly known as SBEC

Our mandate is to provide assistance to all businesses in Samoa with the exception of multinationals; however its main target are the small enterprises.

“Your Business Growth is Our Priority”

⛳ Work Hard. Play Harder. Swing… Questionably. 🏌️‍♂️🏌️‍♀️

The SBH teams brought their A-game—and a few highly creative golf swings—to the SCOPS Golf Tournament! 😎

We won prizes, special prizes, and perhaps most importantly, recognition for fully embracing the tournament spirit. Because while trophies are elite, enjoying the day like champions is even better. 🏆

It was a brilliant reminder that not everything is about deadlines, meetings, and emails marked “urgent.” Sometimes, it’s about fresh air, great company, friendly competition, and confidently shouting “FORE!” before anyone asks questions.

A fantastic day, plenty of laughs, and memories to match. We’re definitely coming back next year—hopefully with the same energy and slightly improved handicaps! ⛳😂

📝 BUSINESS TIP TUESDAY #7

📋 Create a Simple Business Plan

Have a great business idea?

Awesome! 💡👏

But if your entire business plan currently lives in your head…
“Trust me, I know what I'm doing!”
…it might be time to put it on paper. 📝

A business plan doesn't have to be 50 pages long or full of complicated words.

Start by answering some simple questions:
✔️ What do I want to achieve?
✔️ Who are my customers?
✔️ What am I selling?
✔️ How will my business earn income?
✔️ What will it cost to operate?

A clear plan can help you stay focused, prepare for challenges, set realistic goals, and communicate your business idea clearly to potential lenders or partners.

And remember: your first business plan doesn't have to be perfect.

Start with what you know, then review and improve it as your business grows. 📈

🤝 Need help developing your business plan?
SBH Business Advisors are here to support you.

💬 Be honest: Is your business plan written down… or is it currently living rent-free in your head?

😊 BUSINESS TIP TUESDAY #6

🤝 Build Trust Through Customer Service

Want customers to come back?

Start with something that doesn't require a huge budget:

Treat them well. 😄

A warm greeting, a listening ear, a little patience, and keeping your promises can go a LONG way.

Because customers may forget what they bought… but they probably won't forget if you made them feel valued — or ignored. 😂

Great customer service can turn:
👤 A customer → into a regular
🗣️ A regular → into a referral
❤️ A referral → into a loyal customer

And the best part?

Good customer service is free! 💯

🏷️ BUSINESS TIP TUESDAY #5: DON'T UNDERPRICE YOUR PRODUCTS

We all want customers saying, “That’s a great price!” 😍

But if you're making sales while your bank account is saying, “Are we actually making money here?” 😭😂 — it might be time to rethink your pricing.

When setting your prices, remember to account for:
✔️ Materials
✔️ Labour
✔️ Transport
✔️ Packaging
✔️ Utilities
✔️ A reasonable profit 💰

Your price should cover your costs AND leave room for your business to grow.

Because making 100 sales with little or no profit isn't necessarily better than making 50 profitable sales. 📈

💡 Remember: Don't compete only by being the cheapest. Compete by offering value, quality and a great customer experience.
