This is one of my new favorite day trips from Atlanta! The whole town of Cave Spring, Georgia is a hidden travel gem. The town itself is charming and interesting to explore-it’s got a lot of history, a museum, a walking trail through town, specialty stores, restaurants, an antique shop, and more. The biggest attraction though, is the name sake of the town, the cave and spring themselves! Right in town, you can visit and explore the cave, drink fresh, delicious spring water, feed the fish, and swim in the 1.5 acre spring fed lake. The water is freezing but so refreshing! Did I mention all of that costs less than $10 per person!? Cave Spring is also close to Rome, GA, and within an hour of lots of waterfalls, hiking, and state parks.
