❌ Sleeping with wet extensions
Wet hair is more fragile and can tangle and mat while you sleep. Always make sure your extensions are completely dry before bed.

❌ Going to bed with your hair loose
Tossing and turning can cause unnecessary friction and tangling. A loose braid or low ponytail is your extensions’ best friend.

❌ Applying conditioner or oils directly onto your bonds
Depending on your extension method, products around the attachment points can cause slipping, loosening or premature shedding.

❌ Brushing from the roots down
This can tug on your bonds and put unnecessary stress on your natural hair. Start at the ends and gently work your way up, supporting the roots.

❌ Using too much heat 🔥
Constant straightening, curling and high-temperature styling can leave extensions dry, brittle and prone to split ends.
