This is Lucy. She is 52 years old. She saw our Facebook post, asking for people to try out our serum, for free. Four months ago Lucy had oily skin, with enlarged, blocked pores. She would sometimes battle with carbuncles, at her age. Her skin was really taking strain. So off a sample went and Lucy started her oil journey. Two months in, she did make contact to say her skin texture is so much better and her pores are clearing quite a bit, but the carbuncles are still there. We told her to keep going. What are you looking at? This is a close up of a pore cleaning strip. If you are one of many, suffering from congested pores, then this is what is in there!

It is such an evil cycle, actually. We keep on trying to fix the problem, by adding fuel to the fire that is the root of the problem. Most of the lotions and potions that promise to give us clean and clear skin, strip the skin of much needed healthy oils. The skin reacts and over produces sebum. An over production of sebum results in the pores stretching, to compensate. A combination of these two factors, results in the oil hardening and getting trapped in those pores.

While exfoliation seems like the solution to getting rid of clogged on oil, dirt and dead skin cells, anything with abrasive particles will trigger the skin to respond by trying to protect itself against whatever is grinding at it. The response: More oil guys. The correct way to exfoliate, is by means of fruit acids and some oils also have the ability to loosen and gently lift dead skin cells, dirt and oil - all without having a sanding effect on your very delicate skin.

Some essential oils are amazing at cleansing and exfoliating, without causing any damage or abrasion or a protective response from the skin. And some essential oils are amazing at balancing the production of healthy sebum, leaving your skin hydrated, nourished and making much needed collagen. This is why we have a pre mixed cleansing oil for all skin types and moisturising serum oil mixes, for different skin types. Both for everyday use. It will not clog your pores. HEADACHES... Something I have been battling with for many years. Being a migraine sufferer, I know how pesky an aching skull can be.

So I am not going to try and sell some mix, as this is such a simple nice to know, that can make a difference, if you battle with headaches. Tip of the day: Hop yourself over to Dischem and get a good quality Peppermint oil. When you feel a headache starting to show it's ugly little head, take a drop and rub it on your temples and another drop or two in the nape of your neck. This is no lie: If you catch the headache early, Peppermint oil does stop it in it's tracks. They trick is in catching it early.
