A green moment done right 💚
Blended tones, soft skin, and just enough drama to make the eyes the statement.
Alouisa is a repeat client of mine. (I did her makeup when she got married 9 years ago! 💍 )

It was a pleasure to do Makeup and Hairstyling for this stunning human - Isabella.

Most bridal hair & makeup artists aren’t overpriced.

They’re underpaid.

And the worst part?

It’s been normalised.

Brides are comparing prices, choosing the cheapest option, and expecting a premium experience… without actually understanding what goes into it.

And artists?

They’ve been taught to accept it.

To keep prices low.
To stay “competitive.”
To work more for less.

Until they’re exhausted, overworked, and barely making anything after costs.

This post isn’t about blaming brides.

But it is about bringing awareness to what you’re actually paying for when you book a bridal artist.

Because if price is the main deciding factor…

You’re not choosing the best experience.

You’re choosing the artist who’s willing to pay themselves the least.

And that has a cost.

When artists are dramatically undercharging, it doesn’t just affect them.

It sets the expectation for everyone.

It makes it harder for artists to charge what they actually need to run a sustainable business… without being seen as “too expensive.”

So the cycle continues.

Prices stay low.
Standards get squeezed.
And artists are forced to choose between undercharging… or losing bookings.

Over time, that leads to:

Talented artists struggling financially
Experienced artists leaving the industry
Burnt out artists trying to do too much for too little
Corners being cut just to stay afloat

And eventually?

The level of service drops.

The experience changes.

And the industry loses the very artists brides actually want to book.

So no - this isn’t just about pricing.

It’s about the long-term quality and sustainability of the entire industry.
