πΏ HAARVERSORGING
LES VIR VANDAG
LEER EERS DIE HARE KEN
Verstaan. Observeer. Kies reg. Versorg.
---
1. KYK EERS
Hoe lyk die hare?
Reguit β’ Golwend β’ Gekruld β’ Kroes-/Afrohare
Hoe voel dit?
β Sag
β Glad
β Growwer
β Droog
β Bros
β Verstrengel
β Fyn
β Dik
Onthou:
Dik hare beteken nie noodwendig baie hare nie.
β Droogheid
β Olierigheid
β Skilfers
β Jeuk
β Rooiheid
β Sensitiwiteit
β Sere of korsies
β Knoppies of puisies
β Ongewone haarverlies
Ons diagnoseer nie. Ons kyk, observeer en verwys wanneer nodig.
---
4. VANDAG SE BELANGRIKE LES
---
5. PRAKTIESE OEFENING
Kies iemand se hare β jou eie hare, βn familielid sβn of iemand wat toestemming gee.
Moenie vandag sny nie.
Skryf neer:
Naam: __________________________
Haartipe: _______________________
Tekstuur: _______________________
Individuele haardikte:
β Fyn β Medium β Dik
Haardigtheid:
β Laag β Medium β Hoog
Kopvel: _________________________
Hare voel: ______________________
Wat het jy opgemerk?

---
---

π BONUSVRAAG
As jy hierdie persoon se hare moes versorg, wat sou jy eerste oorweeg β en hoekom?
---
---
---
π± VANDAG SE ONTHOU-SIN
> Elke kop is uniek.
Kyk eers.
Verstaan dan.
Versorg daarna.

HOW TO COMB OUT KNOTS
A gentle, no-tears method for childrenβs hair
The golden rule:
Never fight the knot. Work with it. π
1. DONβT START AT THE ROOT
If you pull a comb from the roots through a tangled section, the knot gets tighter and can hurt the child.
Instead, divide the hair into small sections and secure the hair you aren't working on.
2. ADD SLIP
Lightly dampen the tangled area and apply conditioner or a suitable detangling product.
The goal is to make the hair slippery enough for the strands to move past one another.
Don't soak the hair. You want controlled moisture and slip.
3. HOLD THE HAIR ABOVE THE KNOT
This is one of the most important techniques.
Place your hand firmly between the child's scalp and the knot.
This prevents the pulling force from being transferred directly to the scalp.
> Hold β Separate β Comb.
4. START AT THE VERY ENDS
Use your fingers first.
Gently loosen the smallest part of the knot at the bottom.
Then use a wide-tooth detangling comb.
Work:
ENDS β MID-LENGTHS β ROOTS
Never the other way around.
5. DON'T DRAG THE COMB THROUGH
If the comb stops:
STOP.
Don't force it.
Remove the comb, use your fingers to separate the strands, add a little more conditioner/detangler if necessary, and try again.
6. WORK IN TINY SECTIONS
A large tangled section can look impossible.
Break it into smaller pieces.
Big knot β smaller knots β individual strands β smooth hair.
This is much easier for both you and the child.
7. FINISH WITH A GENTLE COMB-THROUGH
Once the knot is gone, comb from the ends upward until the entire section moves smoothly.
Then check the nape of the neck, behind the ears and underneath the hair β these areas commonly tangle first.
---
π‘ FERN & FEATHER TIP
If the child says, βIt hurts!β β don't tell them to sit still and push through it.
Stop.
Change your technique.
A good home haircare routine should teach children:
βMy hair can be cared for without hurting me.β
π« AVOID
Pulling hard through knots
Starting at the roots
Using a fine-tooth comb on severe tangles
Ripping through a matted section
Brushing aggressively when the hair is dry and highly tangled
Holding the child's hair away from the scalp and pulling against the skin
πΏ REMEMBER
Fingers first.
Ends first.
Small sections.
Hold above the knot.
Slow is faster.
