Keith Lee made Afro Pizza go viral… but when I saw the Marley Vegetarian toppings, I was skeptical. 👀🍕

Then I took one bite.

Yeah…they got me. 😂🔥

It was unexpected, bold, and somehow worked perfectly—which honestly feels very Toronto: different cultures, flavors, and influences coming together to create something completely new.

But I still had one question:

**What do Afros have to do with pizza?**

I was ready to ask the chef…and realized I forgot my mic. 🤦🏾‍♀️

So I promised I’d come back.

**Follow Dr. Sandra for Episode 2—because I returned with my microphones, tested their vegan crust, and finally got the story behind Afro Pizza. 🌱🍕🎤**

Would YOU have tried the Marley? Tell me below. 👇🏾

Okay, friend… how long are we going to keep calling it “being patient” when we know good and well we’re just scared to make the change? 👀😂

Yes, change can be uncomfortable.

But so is staying in the same situation, having the same frustration, and giving yourself the same pep talk every Monday.

At some point, you have to decide:

**Do I want familiar…or do I want better?**

You don’t have to have the whole plan figured out. You just have to be willing to take the next brave step.

Because sometimes the life you’re praying for is waiting on the other side of the thing you keep avoiding.

**Change may be scary, but so is staying the same.**

So this week, sis… make the move. 🌱✨
**Progress over pressure. Always.** 💛

Summer in the City: Toronto 🇨🇦☀️ | Episode 1

Say “Canada” and most people picture snow, hockey and enough winter coats to survive the Arctic. 😂

But the Toronto I love looks a little different.

It looks like sunshine and long summer evenings.
It sounds like music spilling into the streets.
And sometimes, it tastes like warm dhalpuri wrapped around curry. ❤️

One of my first stops when I get back to Toronto is usually for Caribbean roti.
And no—I’m not Trinidadian. 😂 I grew up in a Jamaican household. But curry is one of those flavors that our islands share.

That’s one of the things I love about Caribbean food. A single dish can tell a much bigger story—of migration, survival, adaptation and cultures meeting one another across generations.

It reminds me that honoring where we came from doesn’t mean our stories have to stay frozen in the past.

Sometimes we take what our ancestors carried with them, bring it to a new place, meet new people…and create something beautiful together.
And honestly?
That feels a lot like Toronto. ❤️

So if your picture of Canada begins and ends with snow, allow me to introduce you to another side.

☀️🌆 Welcome to Summer in the City: Toronto Edition.

Come along with me. We’re just getting started.

✨ Mindset Monday
Do you dread Mondays—or maybe just the job waiting for you when Monday arrives? 😩
Sometimes we can’t immediately change what we have to do, but we can change the way we think about it.
One perspective I appreciate from Oprah is the idea of viewing our work through the lens of service. Instead of asking, “Why do I have to do this?” we can ask:
“Who can I help through what I do today?”
Not every task will suddenly become exciting. 😏 But connecting even ordinary work to a larger purpose can change the way we experience it.
So as you head into this week, consider this your Monday mindset shift:

Don’t just focus on the task. Remember who your work serves.

Maybe a little more purpose is exactly what Monday needs. 💛

Do you agree? How does the work you do serve someone else?
