As Curl Chemistry prepares to celebrate 10 years this July, we’re excited to share that our founder, Liesl (Katzen) Smerdon, will be taking the stage at TEDxDistrictSix Women 2026: The Ripple Effect on 1 August. 🇿🇦
What started as a single product created with a vision to help women embrace and care for their natural hair has grown into a brand trusted by thousands across South Africa.
To now be invited to share that journey on a TEDx stage feels like a true full-circle moment.
For nearly a decade, Curl Chemistry has been about more than haircare. It’s been about confidence, community, education, and empowering women to show up as their authentic selves.
