I’ve been away for a while… and honestly, the silence came from one of the hardest seasons of my life.

Losing my grandfather — the man who raised me, taught me strength, and believed in me before I ever believed in myself — shook my entire world. His passing didn’t just break my heart; it shifted everything inside me. Literally the one day we were preparing to welcome him home, and 3 hours before discharge, he died. Just like that. In the blink of an eye. Just gone.
My whole world turned upside-down on November 1st 2024.

Between grief and motherhood, I felt stretched thin. I wasn’t ready to show up. Its been such a tough journey. I had to learn how to breath all over again. Be fully present and navigate a new normal. This is what grief does. It came and shifted my whole being. So I paused. Reflected, and grew. Grew into a version of myself i never knew existed. The healing still continues🙏

But through it all… God carried me. Ooohhhhh!!!! When I say GOD carried me!! I MEAN, HE CARRIED ME through the depths of dispair🙌🙌😭😭😭.

Thank you to everyone who interceded and stood in the gap for me when i was unable to show up for myself. My family supported me.
And you — even in my silence — still rooted and supported me.

I’m so grateful. Truly.

And now?

Now I’m stepping into a new season.
A stronger season.
A purpose-filled season.

This season feels so much more personal to me. Its about honoring the man who believed in my dreams.
And it’s about thanking every single one of you who waited, supported, checked in, and prayed for me.

TRUTH TALK‼️‼️‼️....

✨ What they DON'T tell you about embracing your grey hair....✨

For a split second I found myself contemplating whether or not to add a filter to this picture, but decided against it, because you know what? This is all part of the transitioning period. This IS the journey and I want to fully embrace it.

Hopefully I'll be able to look back on these as a reminder of how far I've come.

Going grey naturally is not for the faint of heart. It's one of those journeys nobody (can) fully prepare you for. Everyone talks about "Aging gracefully...Embracing your season...Accepting yourself", but few mention the mental tug-of-war that comes with every silver strand. Its not just about strands changing colour. Its about standing in the mirror and realizing that the reflection looking back at you is shifting. It’s that weird in-between stage where you catch your reflection and that quiet little voice whispering “Do I still look like me?" The transitioning period is HARD!

You get the side-eyes. The unsolicited comments. The “Are you gonna dye it?” questions like it’s some kind of emergency. And sometimes—even in your own mind—you wrestle with it. Because grey hair has been branded as loss: Loss of youth, Loss of beauty, Loss of vibrance, Loss of desirability. And honestly...Mentally, that narrative can be quite heavy at times.

I have also come to learn that the struggle isn't only external-its DEEPLY internal. Some days you feel empowered and proud of the shimmer of silver. Other days, you want to run for the box dye or salon and hide every strand. Its not vanity. It's humanity. It's how we have been indoctrinated to perceive grey hair as a symbol of being "old or expired". We live in a culture that celebrates youth and often treat age as something that needs to be "fixed". So naturally, going grey early or just transitioning to grey, can feel like swimming upstream.

But here’s the truth I’ve learned and what keeps me going: Going grey is also a reclamation. A reclamation of Self.

Grey hair isn’t loss—it’s gain.
It’s gaining freedom from the pressure to pretend.
It’s gaining authenticity, because your crown is showing up exactly as it is. It's about gaining freedom from the hamster wheel of constantly trying to cover it up....and fully embracing it.
It’s gaining courage, because letting your silvers just be takes so much guts. Being able to walk into a world that worship youth and esthetics and still say "This is me, and i am enough" is to me, an act of rebellion in a world obsessed with staying forever 25.

This shift doesn't just happen over night. Oh no! It takes self-talk. A LOT of patience (the hardest part for me😅), and sometimes even tears. Yes, this is absolutely true🤣🤣🤣. But slowly those silver threads stop feeling like intruders and more like allies.

So if you’re walking this road, just know: The struggle is real. The mental battle is real, but the journey is oh so beautiful. It takes you to a place where you get to rediscover a part of yourself you never knew existed.
Your grey hair doesn't dim you. It deepens you. It tells a story. It carries truth. YOUR truth...
