After treating pigmentation with Sciton BBL HERO™, you may notice tiny dark spots appearing in the treated area over the next few days. This is completely normal and is known as “peppering.”
These spots are pigment that has been brought to the surface by the treatment. As your skin naturally renews itself, they gradually flake away, revealing a clearer, more even complexion underneath.
✨ This is often a reassuring sign that the pigment has responded to treatment.
Peppering typically begins within a few days and usually resolves within 7–10 days, although this can vary depending on the depth and amount of pigmentation treated.
Remember:
• Don’t pick or scrub the spots.
• Keep your skin well hydrated.
• Wear broad-spectrum SPF daily.
• Let your skin shed the pigment naturally.
