When Danielle Crous sat down in my chair and told me she wanted her bob back, my heart sank into my ass 😂 for entirely selfish reasons, I tried to convince her otherwise.

The last time I cut Danielle’s hair was almost two years ago, just before I disappeared on my yachting adventure. Back then, we went for a bob, and since then she’d grown it all out into beautiful long hair.

But Danielle knew exactly what she wanted, and as much as it pained me to see all that hair go, I have to admit she was right.

This textured bob with a sneaky little curtain bang suits her so well. ✨

One of my favourite things about haircutting is that it doesn’t need a dramatic colour transformation to make a huge impact. The right shape can completely change how you feel about your hair.

I had the privilege of having the beautiful 𝓛𝓮𝓪 in my chair and we created magic 🪄 ✨🦄 together.

Back story! 🌅
_symes  has been my client since the very beginning of TCHP, and we’ve always had fun with her hair. We’ve done super-short cuts, shaved patterns, and just about every vivid colour under the sun. If you know me, you know this is the kind of work that lights my soul on fire. ✨

Fast forward a few years (and many colour adventures later), and I packed my bags for a 9-month seafarer side quest. During that time, Cay started growing her hair out and embraced a more natural look, maintaining it with a demi-permanent colour close to her natural depth.

In February this year, we started transitioning her towards her dream sunset hair 🌅 — but we decided to play the long game and enjoy the process rather than rushing the end result.

One of the reasons we’ve been able to achieve such incredible vibrancy and longevity between her 6-week appointments is . 🦄

Today’s appointment was all about refinement. We refreshed the regrowth and lightened the ends to create more contrast from the mids to the ends, while gradually breaking through some of the previously coloured hair.

(And thank goodness it wasn’t permanent colour. 😅)

This is only one chapter of the journey, and I honestly can’t wait to see where we take it next. 🩷🧡💛
