BREATHING THROUGH FEAR🤍
A while back we introduced you to “Breath Prayer”. Today Tricia’s showing us how to use it right in the middle of fear, panic, and that tight-chest feeling.
Because let’s be real: shortness of breath and hyperventilation are panic’s calling cards. But here’s the good news from both science + Scripture: deep, slow breaths put your nervous system back in control.
“Be still and know that I am God” - Psalm 46:10. Stillness starts with your breath.
The Breath Prayer Technique
Use this whenever you feel anxious, nervous, scared, or spiraling:
1. Inhale: Praise God beforehand
Breathe in slowly for 4 counts and praise Him “before” you see the answer. This is trust in action.
Inhale: “God, with me.” “Jesus, my peace.” “Father, near.”
2. Exhale: Tell God what you need
Breathe out slowly for 6 counts and hand Him the weight.
Exhale: “…, help me.” “…, protect me.” “…, be near.” “…, I need You.”
Your body can’t panic and breathe slowly at the same time. One of them has to lose.
Keep breathing like this until the storm inside starts to quiet. 6 rounds is a good start.
3. End with gratitude and surrender
Last breath: “God, thank You.”
“I put this worry at Your feet.” 1 Peter 5:7
You’re not ignoring the problem. You’re anchoring to the One bigger than the problem before you respond to it.

A PLACE AND SPACE🤍
Let’s clear up something we don’t say enough in church: Believing in God does not mean you’ll never feel troubled. It means you’ll always have somewhere to take the trouble.
Faith isn’t the absence of fear, stress, or raw emotion. Faith is having a safe space to bring all of it. The Psalms prove this. David cried, raged, doubted, begged, and still ended with “Yet I will praise Him.” You can be honest with God. You can be raw. You can say the thing you won’t say out loud to anyone else.
God isn’t intimidated by your fear. He’s not disappointed by your honesty. “Pour out your heart before Him” - Psalm 62:8. That’s an invitation, not a warning.
And you can be honest with yourself too.
Naming it without shame is the first step to freedom. “I’m scared right now. I’m overwhelmed. I don’t know what to do.”
That’s not weakness. That’s awareness. And awareness is where coaching starts.
Tricia answers it so simply:
How do you conquer fear? By being present in this day.
How do you conquer anxiety? By being present in this moment.
Because fear lives in “what if tomorrow…”
Anxiety lives in “what if next…”
But God meets you in now. “Do not worry about tomorrow” - Matthew 6:34.
Presence is where His peace is available.
You don’t have to pretend you’re fine to come to God. You don’t have to clean up your thoughts before prayer. You come as you are. Troubled, honest, human. And He meets you there.
He is listening…

FORGIVENESS FOR BELIEF🤍
Jesus offers us forgiveness in exchange for belief.
That’s the whole gospel in one sentence. Not performance. Not perfection. Belief.
In the Old Testament we read, “they didn’t know what they didn’t know.” And honestly, neither do we sometimes. There have been seasons in my life where I was convinced I was right… only to find out I was wrong. Maybe you have too.
1 Corinthians 13:12 reminds us: “All we know now is partial and incomplete.”
That’s not a failure. That’s being human.
It is not sin to not know.
But it is grace to grow.
Repentance isn’t about shame. It’s about letting God wipe the slate clean so we can have “times of refreshment,” like Acts 3:19 says.
Ignorance simply means there’s growing awareness ahead. Decisions we need to correct. Actions we need to rectify. Not because God is angry, but because He’s inviting us into more light.
So today: Breathe. Believe. Let Him forgive what you didn’t see before. That’s where refreshment begins.

HE IS ALWAYS ON YOUR SIDE🤍
I haven’t posted since April 12.
And maybe that’s the point.
God has a way of redirecting us when we least expect it. Sometimes doors close that don’t make sense. Sometimes the breakthrough we prayed for… doesn’t come. Not yet.
But here’s the beauty: When you cling to God in the quiet, your faith doesn’t shrink. It deepens. In ways you couldn’t have planned.
So if you’re in a waiting season like I was, here’s my invitation:
Pour out your love to the Lord.
Stay in the scriptures.
Don’t be in a hurry.
God won’t go away. He patiently waits for our awakening.
Choose one book of the Bible this week. Just to let it wash over you. Read it again and again. Immerse yourself.
Answers have a way of emerging when we stop striving and start abiding.

UNBUILD TO REBUILD🤍
Tricia shares a story of her boys stacking towering structures with building blocks. They’d build higher and higher, only to watch them come tumbling down. Then she asks the question that lingers: Have you ever evaluated the structure or foundation of your faith, values, and belief system? Is it built on solid rock, or is it a house of cards?
Have you ever found yourself in a season where what you thought you knew about God or the Bible was shaken? Where life didn’t unfold the way you believed it should? Tricia offers this quiet wisdom: _sometimes, you have to unbuild to rebuild._
That’s exactly what I did. I paused and reflected on my spiritual beliefs and values. I let myself deconstruct what no longer held weight. Now I’m reading the Bible again, rebuilding my faith for the timeline I’m in. With the perspective of now. With openness to see what God is building in my life, not just what I assumed He was.
Deconstruction isn’t abandonment. It’s permission to lay down old blueprints and let God show you the foundation He intended.
So today, ask yourself:
_What part of my faith feels shaky?_
_What am I willing to unbuild, so God can rebuild something stronger?_
You’re not alone in the rebuilding. The Holy Spirit is with you, brick by brick.

THE HOLY SPIRIT🤍
The gift of the Holy Spirit is a profound treasure, isn’t it? Jesus’ departure paved the way for this incredible gift, a constant companion who guides and wisdom that inspires. Yet this is a beautiful reminder that we’re never alone, not even in our innermost thoughts.
I’ve found myself pondering the Holy Spirit’s role in my life, especially when faced with moments of solitude and introspection. It’s easy to feel like we’re navigating life’s complexities alone, but Tricia’s insight resonates deeply: in choosing Jesus, we’ve chosen the Holy Spirit’s presence, a steadfast friend who’s always with us, in us, and available to share God’s thoughts and insights. With Him, I have all the resources, all the knowledge, all the power, everything I ever need. I can know and be with this God every single moment of my day.
This truth invites me to pause and reflect: what’s the Holy Spirit whispering to me today?
Let’s allow ourselves to be drawn into this divine companionship, to listen and respond to the Spirit’s gentle voice. What truth or insight is the Spirit revealing to you in this moment?
Holy Spirit, lead the way….

FAITHFUL LOVE🤍
Happy Easter Sunday, Jesus has risen - this is my favourite part of Easter. This the part that truly hits home - Jesus saved me! Through His act, I can now ask for forgiveness, I can choose Him and be whole before God, I get to make this choice daily.
When Jesus replaced the old covenant with the new, He gave us one law! LOVE.

Jesus gave us a new commandment - to love one another as He loved us (John 13:34). This brings in a whole new perspective, right? When we’re faced with struggles and conflicts, we can choose to respond with love.
Some NLP techniques that might help:
- Anchor yourself in love: Anchor this Easter Sunday and your love for Christ. Anchor this feeling and bring it into your present moment every day.
- Reframe your perspective: Look for the opportunity to show love in a difficult situation. Ask yourself, “How can I love in this moment as Jesus loves me?”
- Mirror their positive intent: Assume the other person is coming from a place of love (even if it’s not obvious). Respond with empathy and understanding.
Tricia’s phrase, “faith that shows itself in love”, is a great mantra for daily life. When you’re struggling, ask yourself: “What’s the loving response here?”
Loads of love and blessings to you and your family on this Easter Sunday.

OPPORTUNITY PRESENTED🤍
Life’s messy, and sometimes it feels like the universe is conspiring against us. Tricia’s flooded basement is a great example - it’s easy to get sucked into the stress and frustration. But what if we flipped the script?
When things go wrong, our brains tend to focus on the problem, and before we know it, we’re drowning in the “wallow ocean”. Tricia’s uses this mental game. Asking yourself this question: “IF I liked something about this, what would it be?” It’s like a brain hack to shift our focus from the pain to the possibility.
So, what’s the opportunity hiding in your difficult situation? Are you:
- Learning a new skill or gaining a new perspective?
- Developing resilience or patience?
- Connecting with others or building a support network?
- Re-evaluating priorities or letting go of something that’s been holding you back?
Take a deep breath and ask yourself: “What am I not seeing here? What’s the hidden gift in this mess?”
Reflect today, and see if you can find the opportunity that’s been staring you in the face.

GODS ENDURING LOVE🤍
Today I want to share another amazing impactful technique I found in Tricia’s book.
We look forward to the “next” so often and that is something I have been doing quite a lot of lately. But today, I want to encourage you to take time with me to look back, visualising our timelines from birth up to today.
Take a moment to close your eyes and breathe deeply. Think back to your childhood, your birth, and the moments that shaped you. Recall the people, experiences, and circumstances that brought joy, comfort, and growth.
Highlights:
- A loving family member or friend who supported you unconditionally
- A milestone achieved, a dream realized
- A challenging moment that led to growth and resilience
Bumps in the road:
- A difficult loss or heartbreak
- A struggle with self-doubt or fear
- A season of uncertainty or waiting
Now, think of the words in Psalm 136: “His love endures forever”. Let’s walk through your timeline in praise of God, acknowledging the highlights and bumps in the road, and celebrating His unwavering love.
As you reflect on each moment, say: “His love endures forever.” Reflecting on God’s enduring love through our journey is a powerful way to praise Him.
Now, let’s bring it to life:
- Your birth: God’s love was already there, planning and preparing for your arrival. His love endures forever.
- Overcoming a challenge: God’s presence strengthened you, even when it felt tough. His love endures forever.
- A milestone achieved: God’s joy and pride in you. His love endures forever.
As you look back, can you see threads of God’s love weaving through every moment? He’s been with you, guiding, comforting, and loving you every step of the way.
Take a deep breath and praise Him for His enduring love. “God, Your love has been with me since the beginning, through it all. Thank You for Your unwavering love.”

PEN AND PAGE🤍
Morning pages, anyone? I’ve introduced you before about the magic of Julia Cameron’s morning pages, and now Tricia’s book introduces me to The Pen and Page technique. Both are doorways to a place where time stands still and God shows up.
Tricia starts by copying a Bible verse into her journal, engaging her thoughts and hands. Then reflection - capturing thoughts on the page. The goal? Keep going till “a hand comes out and takes yours” - till God shows up.
Yesterday I read Matthew 5:1-12 and just couldn’t grasp what God was trying to say. I could not hear Him. So I tried the Pen and Page method. The result - God met me where I was. He explained it in a way that made sense to me. He showed up for me.
Want to fund God in your pages? Open the door to God’s presence and try this beautiful technique.
