Gosh, I am having so much fun doing highlights. The picture is a great demonstration of how it works. You use your hairdryer to blowout all the short baby hairs and then you weave what is left. The result is the softest blend of highlights with no harsh lines. Beyond satisfying. Isn't this doll just absolutely gorgeous

Scroll for some before shots. This gorgeous girl has been doing a straight up tint to try and cover her Greys, but we all know how high maintenance this can become. am i right?! We transitioned into doing a demi permanent colour to soften the regrowth of the grey but still there is maintenance. So my suggestion was to do grey blending. So instead of covering the Greys we try blending the Greys. Here i did highlights. This is a great way of creating dimension without having a stripe look. The reality with grey is that there will ALWAYS be some kind of maintenance involved. Its just choosing the right path for you. I am absolutely obsessed with how her hair turned out. I love the slow creep of clients getting more and more adventurous with colour. I had so much fun doing this colour.

Fresh chop and clean bright roots. This beautiful client had a full head of babylights followed by a shadowroot and a toner. So fresh.

Another big change. Micaela came in feeling tired of keeping up with the blonde but felt sad to say goodbye to it at the same time. We spoke through, at length about her options going forward and I encouraged her to embrace the dark but that it doesnt have to be forever and that it didn't need to just be one flat canvas of dark. What we decided on was to do a reverse baylayage and to tone the blonde she already had. That way we avoid doing any unnecessary damage and we don't have to say goodbye to the blonde entirely. Iv done multiple pictures to also demonstrate just how much lighting can change the look and appearance of colour. What are your thoughts? Micaela's response to seeing her hair will forever be seared into my memory as one of the best responses iv ever seen from someone in my chair. The joy to see someone see just how beautiful they are is just the best thing in the world. Can't wait to see you again .panda

Sometimes we just need a big chop to find ourselves again. Sara hasn't done colour in months and this chop has revived her old colour. Amazing what a chop can achieve.
