Jan 2023 marked the beginning of my makeup training. It had been my dream for “hundreds of years.” I was the oldest but learnt so much from everyone. .makeup.wizard was our instructor and I tell ya, I could work 5000 years and I’d still not be at her level!!! She is that phenomenal! Shed tears a time or two, felt out of my depth in a sea of ridiculous talent, had so many laughs and fun and I would not change the experience for anything. It laid a foundation for me to be able to work as the Chanel BA at Ulta store 629, move into a Keyholder position when Chanel position was dissolved by Chanel but worked with an amazing team of people! Moving back to South Africa after 21 months (doors didn’t open but not a bad thing). Now I get to recuperate in our house in Betty’s Bay, work when things pop up, write music, be with my husband…it’s all a win win!
