Healing process: Peel, Fade & Heal 👁👄

Healing. Your body went through a small trauma. If you had microblading, tiny cuts created hair-like strokes. Using PMU brows, liner or lip shading your skin opened with either a single needle, or larger groupings of needles, to create your shape or shading.

It can be naturally assumed that your skin is trying to heal as soon as the incident took place. Because your skin is in fact an organ it’s responsible for protecting your entire body. You need to be patient with it and don’t hurt it any further. Always follow the aftercare provided.

Peeling: Any cut or scrape will develop a scab or covering. This is your body’s natural band aid. DON’T pick it! Some will see a lot, others will see little to none. This mostly will resemble flaky fish food. Leave it alone. If you pick or scratch off your scabs you're possibly pulling colour and therefore removing the work which can lead to lighter spots on the skin.

Fading: The dermis is the outermost layer and is always shedding and replacing itself. When your PMU is complete it will look dark, bold and hopefully be a beautiful natural colour that enhances you.
So when the outermost later sheds you will have the colour under that layer in the upper epidermis. Imagine a black line on a piece of paper. It’s dark, true to colour and bold. Now take a piece or two of cellophane and lay it on top. What you get is a lighter version of the original colour.

This is important. As the brows, lips or liner heal you will see stages of colour, dark, darker, flaky. Not so pretty. Then your final colour. These stages can be hard for some people. Remember, your body is going to try and push out that colour. It’s not supposed to be there so be patient. This is why we say PMU is at least 2 visits and sometimes 3.
