Stage 3. Bargaining. This one is the hardest and longest lasting bit for me.
I have control issues, so the idea that something can happen that I can't stop or change is a hard pill to swallow.
Which means I spend ages & ages thinking of all the ways this was my fault, I screwed something up or what I could've done to change this outcome.
I wish I knew how to push through this. All you can do is let the thought come, admit that nothing could change what happened, and let it pass.
I wish I had better advice for this one, I'm sorry 😔

When it comes to grief, ANGER is rough. You're not just having to FEEL the anger, you also have to ADMIT that it's even happening.
Most of us struggle with anger because it's a feeling that needs to be directly justified.
Susan from HR took your yoghurt = You get angry with Susan.
But it's different with this. The mind searches for reasoning behind the loss. What could've been prevented? What could I have done? And anger is the result.
Anger can't be avoided. It can't be stopped. It can't be skipped. The only way is through.

A while ago, I mentioned a tragedy in my personal life. I lost someone very important to me & my family. It got me thinking.
How on earth am I gonna get myself through this?
I have a tendency to assume that, because I've already cried it out, I've magically sped through the 5 stages. Nope, I hadn't. So, here we go.
The 5 Stages of grief
This is a tiny snapshot of the first stage of grief... Denial

Day NINETEEN of
Today, by remembering when it was all so simple.
When your biggest worry was explaining to Mom how exactly you fell out of a tree (and what you were doing in said tree)
Remember something you used to do as a child that made you happy & DO IT!
I'm too old to get in a tree (or God forbid fall out of one), so I'm Googling silly jokes and pestering my husband with them 😁
What did the fish say when he swam into a wall?
Dam 😂😂😂
Okay, Love You, Bye Bye ❤️
See you tomorrow!

Day EIGHTEEN y’all! And this one’s…not easy. Today, we need to dig deep and find something good in a tough moment.
It’s one thing to be “resilient” and white-knuckle your way through difficult times. But finding that one, tiny flame in the darkness can be the difference between “agonising & painful” and “bearable”
So today by finding what keeps you afloat in the flood.
Okay, Love You, Bye Bye!
See You Tomorrow ❤️

We're over halfway through! DAY SEVENTEEN of
Today, by looking for the exceptional in the everyday
Put on your rose-tinted glasses, take a look around and find something you find beautiful. A framed picture, that stuffed bear you were gifted years ago, a flower vase, anything that makes you smile 😊
Snap a pic of it so you can look at it when your joy levels are running low!
Okay, Love You, Bye Bye ❤️
See you tomorrow!
