Peptides/polypeptides are amino acids that make up certain proteins that occur naturally in the skin, like collagen and elastin. But, they are a great ingredient to apply to your skin too. Peptides act as little messengers telling the cells to produce more collagen and elastin.
As you age the amount of peptides that your skin produces slows down, and your skin starts to thin out a bit and sag. Therefore to keep your skin thicker and firmer we need to stimulate it to produce more collagen and elastin. Now you do get products that contain collagen - but the collagen molecule is too large to pe*****te through the top layer of the skin so it just sits on top of your skin. Peptides, on the other hand, are a lot smaller and can pe*****te through the first few layers of your skin and can stimulate collagen production. Collagen is made up of three polypeptide chains, so adding peptides can stimulate your skin to make collagen. The more collagen your skin produces the firmer your skin will be and will look younger.

Peptides have a number of great benefits:
⚡Improved skin barrier: The skin barrier is the body’s line of defense against bacteria, ultraviolet rays, pollution and other toxins. A device with fine needles creates tiny punctures in the top layer of the skin, which triggers the body's healing process and produces new collagen and elastin. It is super effective to improve skin texture and firmness, reduces scar tissue, pore size, pigmentation, fine lines and wrinkles and stretch marks.

Micropunctures are created using microneedles which produce a controlled skin injury without actually damaging the epidermis.
