ACNE Awareness Month!
June Marks the beginning of Acne Awareness Month and as an inclusive and organic Skincare brand, we want to make sure that your knowledge on the matter is spot on!
What is Acne?
Acne is a skin condition that affects the skin’s oil glands and hair follicles. Acne is caused when the sebum and oils secreted by our oil glands; together with dead skin or bacteria clogs your pores thus leading to inflamed or infected sebaceous glands in the skin that result in different types of acne. Acne forms on different parts of the body including the neck, back, chest, shoulders and most commonly – THE FACE!
Here’s a helpful tip in honour of Acne Awareness month that will assist you in your skin care journey to healthy, fresher skin.
