We started with a base of previous hilights and a banding of colour from previous professional root cover.
This time we kept her natural base , created a blend from the root to hide any pesky natural hilights (😉😜) and toned her a gorgeous warm caramel that hilights her skin tone but also will be a low maintenance colour.

This lovely client is on a journey for grey blending. Unfortunately previous services elsewhere resulted in lots of warmth and banding and not enough lift on the hilights.
In preparation of doing a colour correction , we toned the warmth down and created a much ashier reflect on the blondes, making it much easier for her to grow out her hair to give us a good regrowth to work on for her next colour makeover. ❤️
For the biggest healthiest change in colour corrections always try grow out previous colour as much as possible to allow fadeage as well as a clean canvas to work on. Working on previous colour can create lots of undertones and the hair can dehydrate.

When dealing with fine hair types , the hair structure cannot take large amounts of processing so even using the trusty “20vol to cover greys” mentality, can create a huge effect and create a terrible orange wash out. Even if your application was an ash colour.
Finer hair types have less cuticle scales so the colour can be absorbed easier. Using a Demi colour or low peroxide will give you great coverage , it won’t shift the natural undertone and your grey blend will be so much better on grow out.
This is out first step heading toward healthier hair with a cooler reflect ❤️
