To really win the diet game we need knowledge that will unlock the biological mysteries that cause us to store fat and become unhealthy. You need to know how the brain works against you to keep you fat and unhealthy. You also need tools and to know the actions you need to take so you can reprogramme your body and mind. Many of us think that to lost weight we need to count calories and use willpower.
So if it’s not about willpower, not about cutting calories or about starving what do we need to do to get the body we deserve? Well it’s about knowledge, most of us don’t really know how our car operates, some may only know how to drive, and they may not even know how to change a tyre. Others may know a little more but most of us would rather leave it up to the experts to fix whatever needs to be fixed. So to with our bodies we may think we know how to lose weight and become healthy, but take a good hard look at your body is you weight and health where you want it to be if not it’s now time to throughout everything you know about dieting and health, open up your mind and let the experts educate you so you can make better decisions, about your weight, health and happiness. As I sang along with “Baby make those blue jeans talk,” I remembered what designer Michael Kors said, “ People always want to look taller and thinner. No one ever says, 'Ooh! Let me buy these pants because they make me look fat.' ”

Some pants don't talk - they cry out in pain as they are stretched to the limit over hips and thighs. For some a good fit is just a dream, what fits the butt is too big in the waist or what fits the waist is too tight over the thighs. Most have to settle for something that creeps up here and pinches there.

To find something comfortable, don't settle for second best - try on every pair in every shop. When you find a good fit buy a few pairs in different colours. Alteration is also the way to go. I know this is a pain in the butt (excuse the pun), but it sure beats being uncomfortable. Always buy pants that fit your largest part then alter them to fit your smaller parts.

Looking slim is not just fashionable, it's a national obsession, so learn to hide what you hate and flaunt what you love. How to get rid of belly fat

There are two reasons for belly fat: stress and food allergies, and the larger your waist the higher is your stress level. Why does stress make you fat? When you are under stress your body releases a large amount of steroids into the blood stream in the form of the hormone cortisol. This in turn, throws your body into metabolic disarray creating the belly fat.

It will take more than just a diet and exercise to get rid of belly fat; firstly you have to learn to deal with stress differently. Start by taking Barley Green and flax seed oil daily in order to feed your brain and nervous system. This will immediately help reduce stress levels. You will then need to learn new coping skills which I can teach you in just a few weeks.
The next thing you need to do is find out which foods you are allergic to. This is not as complicated as it sounds. All you need to do in listen to your body. Every time you eat something which makes you feel pain, bloated, tired, nauseas, gassy, a skin rash, a headache, or other general discomforts, you should realize that you have a food allergy. The allergy will inflame your intestines and the more inflammation you have the less efficiently your body is able to use food calories, this in turn creates belly fat. Obesity isn’t just a disease of doughnuts; it is a disease of inflammation. To heal, all you need to do is stop eating the food that upsets your body.
How much food will inflame your body? Ask yourself how much Rattex you would need to poison yourself? Not a lot; all it takes is just a little off the tip of your finger. Most people think that you need to eat a lot of the food that you are allergic to, to become affected. That's not true, just look at your body, is it screaming for help. Are you fat and unhealthy? Remember your mind will lie to you so that it can keep you eating the foods you are addicted to, but your body will tell you the truth.
My friend Judy is a good example. She is highly allergic to MSG, her friend wanted her to taste a new spice so she put a little on the tip on her finger which she ate and within minutes she had a headache, only then did she read the label which showed it had MSG in it. You don’t need to eat a lot to poison your body, just a teaspoonful is enough to create belly fat.

Body appreciation is feeling great in your skin; we need to celebrate our perfect "imperfections". When last have you looked at your body and thought "wow" what a gift! Think about it, your heart has never taken a holiday. The only time we seem to notice our bodies is when we get sick and then we think "I will take better care of myself", but when we feel better we forget all about that and carry on over working, over eating or even under-eating. We get into the "if it ain't broke don't fix it" mentality.

Self loathing is a universal issue. Because we feel self worth is about a perfect external image, we hate what we cannot control, I'm too tall or I'm too short. Now our weight can be controlled, but even if we get to our ideal weight for most of us the b***s droop, the butt sags. So now what?

It would be intelligent to focus on becoming healthy rather than wanting perfection. Of course you can always dress to hide body flaws and if you don't know how phone me and I'll show you how.

With all it's blemishes and imperfections your body is an amazing gift. Honor it, do exercise and eat healthy food. Don't forget the inner you, do something you love. Plant a garden, read a book, meditate, this allows your body and mind to regenerate and repair. Decide to look after yourself, be happy and love who you are.

5 secrets to lose weight and stay thin

Water: This helps speeds up your metabolism. Even mild dehydration will slow down your metabolism by 3%. Lack of water causes fatigue and acid build-up causing your muscles to become flabby and weak. It also causes anxiety, irritability, depression, sugar cravings and cramps. In short, it can kill you. Drinking 2 liters of water a day is a healthy appetite suppressant, so you eat less.

Raw foods: Eating fruit for breakfast and a salad with lunch and super will help you lose weight. All raw foods are fat burning foods. Because they give you less calories than it takes to burn what you eat. E.g.: a slice of chocolate cake contains 250 calories. In order for your body to digest this you only burn 75 calories. So you are left with a net gain of 175 calories that sit on your butt. An apple on the other hand, contains 55 calories. In order for your body to burn this it uses 70 calories. This time you are left with a net loss of 15 calories.

Stop dieting and start to eat healthy: Your metabolism is the most efficient up to 18 for women and 21 for a man, so most put on weight from 21 to 60 and the older you get the harder it is to lose weight. Those who start dieting will automatically start to screw up the natural rhythm of their bodies, and start to gain weight more easily. The more you diet the slower your metabolism becomes. When you start eating less your body thinks it is being starved and so it will turn all the food you eat into fat in order to survive, and to do this it slows down your metabolism. In order to speed up your metabolism you need to eat a lot of small healthy meals.

Exercise: is another way to speed up your metabolism. 50 % of your metabolism is in your muscle and so the more muscle you have the more fat you will burn. In order to keep on exercising, make it fun, listen to music it helps you to increase your pace and you can exercise for longer. Laughter burns calories, so do something you love - dance around the house, do belly dancing, fire dancing, or use your child's hollo hoop. S*x is wonderful exercise, but whatever you chose, the magic potion is having fun because then you will keep it up.

Mindful eating: You have to pay attention and only eat when you are truly physical hungry. Eat slowly, chew your food properly. Only eat – no TV, no reading, no computer, no working. Be the last person to finish eating. Occasionally leave some food on your plate. After you have prepared your meal and dished up, put the leftover food away before you begin to eat, so you don’t snack on the left over food. If you still want to eat after supper or you need something sweet brush your teeth. You will never, never stay thin without eating slowly and noticing your hunger and fullness.
