✂️❤️ Sometimes I wish people could see what it really means to be a hairstylist.
Because here at A Cut Above, it’s never just hair.
In the space of one week, I can experience an entire lifetime with my clients.
There are laughs, celebrations, exciting news, difficult days, new beginnings and everything in between.
As hairstylists, we are often the first to know.
The pregnancy.
The heartbreak.
The loss.
The promotion.
The divorce.
The new relationship.
The diagnosis.
The engagement.
The things that haven’t been shared with anyone else yet.
You sit in my chair, and I listen.
I celebrate with you.
I laugh with you.
Sometimes I cry with you.
Sometimes I simply sit quietly and let you talk.
And over the years, my clients have become so much more than clients. I see some of you more regularly than I see my own family! 🥰
When someone says, “It’s just hair,” I understand why they might think that.
But I know differently.
Sometimes I'm a hairstylist.
Sometimes I'm a sounding board.
Sometimes I'm a shoulder to cry on.
Sometimes I'm your biggest cheerleader.
Sometimes I'm simply the person who listens.
And somewhere along the way, my clients become family. ❤️
I don’t take that trust lightly. Not for one second.

Thank you for trusting me with your hair, your stories, your tears, your celebrations, your secrets and the beautiful, messy, real parts of life.
Thank you for allowing me to be part of your journey.
Being your hairstylist has never been just a job to me.
It’s a privilege.
It’s a connection.
And honestly… it’s one of the things I’m most grateful for. ❤️
